then why isn't uga ranked number one right now? we have more wins than the teams ranked at 1 and 2. obviously, this is stupid and fairly different from the situation, but it fits the way you worded it.

The last seven years pertain to recruiting. LSU has been better than Bama therefore have MORE DEPTH than Bama which is the reason Bama won't win the SEC this year, DEPTH.

its simple--even though u have to prove yourself every year--we have intact a lot of the same team as last year--with the same coach and the same off coordinator, also. we obviously are about as talented if not more than last year---and last year we won the nc--and we won one in 03---the key is this. we arent trying to start a winning program---we are continuing one---so we have much less to prove---you guys are trying to start one. This is a new year but the success is the same old story for us--we resemble last years team and every one knows what that one did--we are continuing---you are trying to start-- get it now---?--it does make a difference, gump

Because, unfortunately, USC appears to be very good too. And with the media world, a very good USC will trump the living shite out of a very good UGA because of market size/location. Even though UGA represents Atlanta and the East Coast media market, USC represents the West Coast and Los Angeles, and is a more sexy (not literally) team to talk about and promote as the nation's best.
Not saying I agree with that, but that's just the way it is. You just wait. Georgia fans up to this point have been somewhat indifferent towards USC. You're going to start seeing why LSU fans hate USC so much, especially if UGA stays in the top 3 towards BCS bowl time.

I congratulate you guys on representing the SEC well and winning that title. I just dont like the notion that UGA didnt have any type of reason to feel slighted. I know that I really dislike Pitt, but man oh man, I was pulling hard for them against WVU.
Oh well, we have the spot this year, if we take care of business (just like if we had last year) it removes all of this back and forth. That is what the ultimate goal of the BCS should be in my opinion...remove the beauty pageant aspect of it.
Agreed, this is YOUR year. Take care of business, get to the SECCG, win it and you get the rewards. That is how the system is played, and everyone by now knows it.

Well, one thing LSU has done is to beat Auburn at Auburn. Something you might want to do before you begin to worry with LSU.
BTW, how long has it been since you beat either Auburn or LSU anywhere?
Bama seems to playing pretty good, but as I recall you seemed to be playing pretty good last year at this time as well. Right...........

LSU won the NC last year and is now 3-0 in 08. We beat a good (not great) Auburn team on the road (Something Bama has not been able to do lately) with an inexperienced QB. We have not proved we are NOT a good team.

I just read the first page of this. Why do people respond to such nonsense? We should worry about our team and ignore teams that haven't won a championship or gone undefeated in the past 10 years. They aren't relevant.

What we did was beat the team that was picked to win the west. We won on the road in the SEC against a quality opponent. We did that without a proven QB. The team overcame a shaky start and rallied for a big win.
