Good grief. I am saying that if some stipulation is going to be enacted to bump a team down...DONT EVEN VOTE US THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. That is all I am saying. The complaint is not with WHO got chosen, it is with HOW it was done. LSU won the SEC, you would not get an argument from me on their involvement in the title game. I am not even sure I would say that UGA was more deserving that OSU. All I am saying is that the process is a POS and a playoff should be put in place.

there were no "stipulations" in place.. there was just another weekend of football to be played.. and the dawgs didn't get themselves in a position to play that weekend. UGA was where they belonged one week, and then when other teams were able to put another "W" in the win column, it gave them a better W/L ratio that left you out.... no conspiracy there

What process is a POS? Yes the system if flawed but if you treat every week like a playoff game then you should have no complaints. We lost the same amount of games as UGA but played our way into the SEC Championship game. The Dawgs never got voted higher than 4 in any of the polls. So, in closing, what Richt did last year and then the bullshite over a fricking highlight replay makes him a whiny little bitch.

Georgia was ranked #4 in the polls. By my math, when West by God Virginia (#2) and Mizzou (then #1) lost, it would seem logical, that the #3 team and #4 teams would move forward, unless one or the other lost.

Also, dont give me the "got to win your conference line." I actually agree with it, but after the BCS put Nebraska in the title game against Miami in 2001 on the heels of getting SMOKED by Colorado and losing the conference, the precedence was there. Implement a rule if necessary, but right now, it is totally at the discression of voters to put in who they want.
LSU deserved to play for the title, no doubt about it. But dont say that it was some slam dunk. The whole process (Florida only played for the title after a very good PR attack via Coach Meyer as well) is flawed.

except your math leaves out the team that picked UP an extra WIN that UGA did not... that is why you were passed over.... If you are right in front of me on the interstate, and the two cars in front of you pulled over to the shoulder, and you take your foot off the accelerator and cruise past them, but at the same time I move to the left hand lane and am going faster than you... WHO is in front at the next mile marker??

I congratulate you guys on representing the SEC well and winning that title. I just dont like the notion that UGA didnt have any type of reason to feel slighted. I know that I really dislike Pitt, but man oh man, I was pulling hard for them against WVU.
Oh well, we have the spot this year, if we take care of business (just like if we had last year) it removes all of this back and forth. That is what the ultimate goal of the BCS should be in my opinion...remove the beauty pageant aspect of it.

For the love of frick YOU WERE NOT SLIGHTED DUMB arse!! You didn't take care of the things you needed to during the season so you payed for it at the end. Deal with it and move on. Y'all are set up this year and, again, if y'all can manage to handle your business you'll be in Miami. If y'all don't than Richt may never win a NC in his lifetime because he's got a very loaded team this year.

I am dropping this...I cant win it. There is no way LSU is going to say UGA was deserving. I am not even saying they were more deserving. What I am saying is that the pollsters allowed for there to be FALSE HOPE, then had to correct their mistake the following week.

Yes, UGA was deserving. But so was USC, LSU, Oklahoma, Virgina Tech, Kansas, etc.. And if you look at it, LSU is the most deserving team out of that bunch.

Absolutely agree with you there. Especially in light of winning the SEC. If there was a meeting held and they came out of that with the result they did, not a single argument from me.
The crux of my point isnt that UGA should cry over spilled milk. The point is that the way this whole thing works, there will be, more often than not, milk on table every year. Luckily for the BCS, it has worked out, as Florida and LSU took care of business (I was pulling hard for both, which says a lot due to my hatred of Florida, I actually pull for LSU when not playing UGA), but had either of them lost, the complaining would have come from all corners.
Remove the argument (however feeble you may feel it is) by settling it on the field.
