When did Eds downward spiral start?

after the 2019 season he was on top of the world winning a title and went to the white house to meet the president. Now he is hanging on for life to keep his job. Where did it start to go wrong?. It seems to me he starting having issues in his personal life with the divorse and he does not know how to rebuild after burrow and brady/aranda left. But he missed on matt canada and admitted his mistake and turned it around so why cant he admit he missed on peetz and turn this around? It seems he cant scapegoat anymore and he has to take responsibility. What if next year is the year where the stars align again?. Lets be patient and give him one more year. Do you really want to start over again and have max learn a new system again?

Another year would just be delaying the inevitable. He's in over his head. We fired the previous guy for going 8-4 or 9-3 and O is underperforming that.

OBJ handed him 30 100 dollar bills in a cigar smoke filled locker room. Police tried to arrest them all.
the officer said, "hey cajun, you can't smoke them in here"
ed said, "what?"
officer changed his dialect to:
"Hey baw, y'cain't smoke dem cigah's up in hea."
Ed ripped his shirt off. Money went flyin and it's been down hill from there.
Ryan Clark then had a vendetta against university and then some virus and woke university crap happened.
The team's culture doesn't match other winning programs' cultures at the moment. Got wr's doing the first down sign when down by 10 to ucla. got db's doing the fingerwag on a 2nd down stop. got dlinemen doing the griddy on a second down stop. (need to be doin the 'hey look at me' on third downs.....also helps when you are up or the game is close)
still getting beat by harsin and pac 12 teams. you're more than welcome to loiter on my lawn as long as you like.

Idk the details of his divorce with Kelly and who was "at fault", but it does seem like once the divorce happened, he's become frickin Van Wilder.

He isn’t the first coach at LSU to suck wind after wining a title. Les started to after his title and PM did it in baseball. PM completely lost focus and fire after his.
A step back after a title isn’t all that unexpected, it took Saban 3 titles before he figured out how to stop that hangover. LSU 03 and Bama 09 both won titles then took slight steps back.

Roster: look at the 2018 class…12/22 signed guys transferred out. That class would be your true SRs today. A LOT of misses in that class.

It started going down hill when he got embarrased by Mike Leach to start out last season for me, but I was willing to overlook that due to the pandemic and opt outs.

There wasn’t a “start”. There were lines of bullshite from a bullshite artist. The scam lasted longer and will cost more money because a once in a lifetime player delayed its exposure.

No. He hired Matt Canada sight unseen with apparently NO clue on what kind of offense Matt ran. Then, he couldn't get along with him and fired him.
The same Matt Canada who is OC for the Steelers. The Steeler's offense is 15th in the league, in spite of an offensive line that ranks second to last in the league. So apparently, the dude knows how to get some offensive production in spite of a poor O-line. Not like he couldn't coach or something. Maybe he was/is an asshat, but if I'm a CEO coach, then I can smooth a lot of that over as long as the dude produces. Apparently, O couldn't.
