Which coach would kill it here?

I'm talking about all phases of the game. Recruiting, development, winning, PR, etc.
Not too many candidates out there that gets me excited. We have to get this right quickly

Too soon…??

Not sure he is best option but Kiffin would have LSU scoring with anyone in the country. Rarely is defense the problem here. You would never have to worry about offense with Kiffin here.

I think the majority of the fanbase would be excited for this

Aranda would have this defense back in tip top monstrous shape. Bring in a good OC and a good recruiter to round things out.
Kiffin plus a good defensive coordinator would be lights out.

FWIW...
quote:
Kiffin, who is under contract through 2024, is set to make $4.5 million in 2021 with a retention bonus of $500,000 if he is still Ole Miss' coach on Dec. 31. He will then make $5.25 million in 2022, $5.5 million in 2023 and $5.75 million in 2024.
In the contract Kiffin initially signed with Ole Miss in 2019, Kiffin made $3.9 million for 2020 and then added an extra $100,000 every year until 2023, when he was set to make $4.2 million.
The bonuses attached to Kiffin's term sheet are the same as his first contract. He still received a $150,000 bonus for every SEC win starting with the fifth in a season and $100,000 for every regular season nonconference win over a Power 5 opponent. He'll earn the same bonuses for making ($150,000) or winning ($400,000) the SEC championship

You talking still coaching?
Honestly, I think Aranda would with the majority of the position coaches we have. Coordinators are a different animal, but with the position coaches we have and their ability to recruit and an uber-organized guy like Aranda would be a good mix.
I can't help but our guys need to feel like they are having fun more. I see alot of dejection, which leads to surrender, in their body language. I'd rather see them getting pissed at those mistakes, and each other, than that dejection.
With that in mind....
- Freeze. His guys always are prepared but his quirkiness bleeds over into both risk taking and "looseness".
- Gundy. His 9 coaches adore him. So do his players. I find it interesting to think about what he would do with high-level SEC talent. And a good D coordinator.
- Call me crazy... Studwra.
- I'm only 50/50 on this one... Manny Diaz.
- Matt Campbell
- Again, call me crazy but I think put this guy with the right position coaches and talent and he'll shine... Dino Babers.

Probably any above avg coach who at least locks down one side of the ball.
I think Freeze would, but of course LSU won't entertain that.
