Appears that the injury isn't super serious but it's a nagging/lingering one he's dealt with since camp. Based on his skill set alone can't see him not going top 10.

There has been a large contingent of fans that have been adamant that Stingley would not play this year and are desperate to be proven right and will latch on to any crumb.

Its sad.

If he didn't play another down he'd still go top 5.

Salmon’s got it right, here. People said he would, so they don’t any to be proven right. They don’t know.

If you search his name on Twitter it’s just a bunch of NFL fans arguing over who gets to draft him next year.

I had the opposite experience. I saw him getting blasted from his UCLA film and that a Florida CB was more deserving.

Somebody on reddit posted that they have a source that said it's a lisfranc injury.

If it is a lisfranc he is definitely opting out.

This. But if that were the case, why in the hell would he have played last week against a directional school, especially as hard as he played. He had a great game and set the tone. Why bother if he’s then going to pull the rip cord before SEC play?

This is what happened to Etienne in the preseason with the Jaguars, and there was talk about it potentially being career ending.

If we're to believe a reddit poster.

He gone.. The quicker you can come to terms with this the better off you will be. To be completely honest I didn’t think he would play a down this year.

I’m not saying he is or isn’t hurt but stingley being “out for an extended period of time” is the least surprising thing I’ve ever heard.

He has gone downhill fast last year and this year. He doesn't have a want. I would not draft him if I was a pro general manager, he can not stay healthy.

People jumping to conclusions.

It's almost like they want him to opt out so they can bitch and say i told you so.

Lsu fans are a different breed man.

I don't care if players opt out.

Either fricking play or don't. It always seems Stingley is never all the way committed.

If I were an NFL GM I wouldn't touch him.

He isn’t a top 5! Stingley is the most overrated DB ever!

Maybe. It only takes one team to make that come true, and there are a few dumb GMs, who are usually picking in the first five slots.

Jaamar Chase was last year's fifth pick. Are you taking Stingley ahead of Chase? I'm not. I have never seen top 5 performance from Stingley outside of a game or two. I'm thinking Stingley goes about 8-10.
