You’re starting to see ads in Louisiana because it’s legal now. Read that the sports books will be live Oct 1. Before, what would be the point of you seeing ads anywhere from billboards to your tv to your phone? It’s not like any of this is new. It’s new to you because it’s available to you now.

For me, I love having the competition among the books because it encourages them heavily to make bonus offers. Most of the books have a very good sign on deal with a deposit match or first bet is insured through bonus cash. Then they all have a lot of daily deals worth checking out. Anything that adds 20% in winnings is usually a +EV bet. You won't make a salary, but if you take advantage of the bonuses correctly you can make an extra $50 or $100 a month.

Once I can bet with the Barstool Sportsbook app that’s who I will only bet with. Going to Boomtown is a little out of the way

Barstool in Michigan is affiliated with Detroit Greektown casino (in fact, Penn owns the casino/hotel). Draftkings is tied into a UP casino in the middle of nowhere. Draftkings is destroying Barstool by the market share numbers. I think Draftkings and Fanduel dominate because they have the name recognition from fantasy sports. And MGM has advertising and the name. I hope Barstool does well. The more competition, the better.

I don't think they are trying to compete with Vegas. They just want a piece of the action in Vegas.
But I am impressed with how fast they and DraftKings have become major players in the gambling world.

OH yeah it's clear now this was a brilliant long-term plan.
Also they had the foresight to team up with fantasy podcasts across the spectrum for years to cultivate real associations.

They've owned Harrah's for years, just rebranding it under Caesars. I worked on their public bankruptcy in 2014.
I think the rebrand is why they are shooting all the additional additional stuff out.

I mean they're already opening 2 barstool branded sports bars in Philly & Chicago. Not sure if the initial comment was sarcasm, but sportsbars & hotels/casinos are possible.
At least branding some of PNG's existing casino's with Barstoolsports is a real possibility.

Draftkings has ridiculous promotions, double your money if a single point is scored max $25 sort of thing constantly. They must be losing money but in it for the long haul.

Except they have Nothing to do with Vegas.
Penn National gaming, bought race tracks, and pumped them with slots, gaming,etc. They go toe to toe with Vegas in many states.
