Almost 6 in 10 Republican voters polled (58 percent) said they would vote to reinstate the former president on the ballot in 2024, indicating that the party is ready and prepared to give Trump another opportunity.

No other possible Republican presidential contender in 2024 comes close to matching Trump’s popularity. Republican voters give former Vice President Mike Pence a distant second place vote of 13 percent, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a rising star in the party, receives just 9 percent support in a primary field that includes Trump and other presidential candidates.

As well he should. The SOB might have an annoying ego the size of Trump Tower, but he loves this country and it's patriots!

Looks like 70% of republican voters don’t want a rhino . I am shocked it’s not higher but that’s still a good percentage .

Trump is clearly running but I don’t understand why he has been playing coy about it. Why not just announce and openly campaign and hold rallies for three more years? God knows Biden will give you enough material.

In other news water is wet.

Either Trump or a Trump supported candidate if Trump does not run such as Densantis is going to be ahead of the pack.

I'm having a hard time believing this part.

Yeah.. but something tells me... a few women will accuse him of rape. Just before the election.

Also.. a lot of "anonymous sources" will let us know about some scandals, that we'll find out a few years later, don't actually exist.

Pence ahead of DeSantis renders that poll worthless

This was the silver lining of Trump losing in 2020. He can do more long term damage to the GOP establishment. The GOP will look completely different in 2028 than when Trump first announced in 2015.

I mean I’d love for DeSantis to stay our governor for another term. I really don’t want to waste his as VP. Feel like I’m living in a different country that a lot of the US right now anyway.
