I hope we get the same Brennan back as 2020 for the bama game or at least the Aggie game.

I still find it amazing that the coaches were going to probably start max even if Brennan was healthy.
I mean my God , look at the throws in this game , especially in the first quarter or first half.
I just hope he’s still working out with it being his left arm. He can do all the conditioning stuff and has even started throwing again.
Even though it was the non throwing arm , I think it’s good that they were cautious. You don’t want to exert a ton of torque throughout the whole body with a fresh break, I wouldnt think that’s a good idea anyway.
The link is the Missouri game . the sideline throw in the first half and the seam to Gilbert are throws we would like our qb to be capable of making , but to be fair, I’m not sure 10 % of the starters in fbs this year can make those throws.
Also, Shanahann gets blown back on his heels every play in this game. He’s doing it now too
Jenkins couldn’t catch last year either apparently
Kirklin is the guy we need back , I’d like to sit Jenkins for him, but not sure kirklin is capable of playing anywhere but the slot effectively, consistently.
I don’t want to bench Palmer , he’s figuring it out

Thread title is a mess.
I hope we get Brennan back soon, too.

Max wasn’t going to start ahead of Brennan. Don’t believe the tards who tried to convince of that here.

No QB is going to be successful in this current offense

What makes you think that? Just because some idiots on here said that Max was the better QB, doesn't mean that's who would have started.

Honestly if we get Brennan back and E taking over interim calling plays we might be able to salvage an upset of 1 team this season and ruin their chances.

They weren’t

Yeah, because an even less mobile QB is going to thrive behind LSU’s awful, awful offensive line.

Hope we have him back sooner. State or Auburn

This thread title is like when your grandfather unwittingly writes an entire email in the subject line.

Brennan had his issues last year, particularly in the opener against MSU. He held the ball too long and his footwork in the pocket seemed questionable at best.
That said, I thought he looked way better in game 2 (Vandy, so take it or leave it) and game 3 (Mizzou). I get why people were railing in him for the third down stats, but I think that’s being willfully ignorant of the difference in offensive philosophy/play calling we have seen with the different quarterbacks.
We took a ton of shots deep with Brennan and had success doing it, but it also put us in a lot of 3rd and long situations. Conversely, we have played a lot of “dink and dunk” football with Max which has made 3rd downs much more manageable but has also resulted in a lack of explosive plays.
In my opinion, we are seeing the reality of the two QBs’ strengths. Brennan throws as good of a deep ball as I have ever seen. I don’t think this is really up for debate. However, he seemed to struggle with a lack of touch in short throws - an area where I think Max is strong despite the rash of drops we have seen so far this year.
Personally, I think they were asking Brennan to do too much and I think they haven’t been aggressive enough with Max. I think both would struggle with the lack of pass protection or any semblance of a running game that we have seen this year. But I also think Brennan’s potential to burn defenses deep would at least force them to rethink the strategy of loading the box and sending LB’s on every play.

After watching some of those highlights, I can't believe I'm going to say this...
Last years team was better than this years![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanghead.gif)

I'd rather have the same Max as we had for Florida and Ole Miss last year.

Myles career was over at LSU even before he broke his arm. Get over it.
