I am amazed at how his handlers allowed these kids anywhere close to him with what they were wearing to even take this picture. I wish one of them would have turned around and kicked him in the nuts.

By the time Biden's people became aware of the situation it was too late to do anything about it other than smile and play along and pretend as if it didn't greatly annoy and/or anger him.....which no doubt in my mind it did. The only alternative options would've been to chastise a group of children or cancel the event, either of which would've been much worse for Biden in the "optics" department.
Whoever set this up knew all that. A very clever performance indeed.

He probably did see their shirts, but I assume he went ahead and took the photo because he’s not the child in the photo.
We really are a pathetic and ungovernable people. The photo is in shanksville, PA. The photo is part of Biden’s stop to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11. My father hated bill clinton - viscerally. If in 1993 I was going to meet bill clinton there is a 0% chance I’d be allowed to wear umbro shorts and an “I voted for more Bush!” t-shirt. This is the analogue of idiots on the left taking their kids to BLM rallies and holding up some communist bullshite signs.
Also 100% of the kids in that photo are wearing crocs which might be the most horrifying fact of this sad affair.

The worst part of this photo is how easy it is to pick out the Secret Service agents.
