Or to add to your analogy, like using the authorizing law for the CDC about health to mandate an eviction moratorium.

This seems like a massive overreach. The good news is a lot of people, including governors, are planning their lawsuits as we type.

Honestly, in the workplace, being stupid is the biggest physical hazard towards other employees. That's a medical condition

Can we fine people for being idiots?

This is the lower case version of the Greek letter delta. The upper case (or "capital") letter is the one that is described as a triangle.

MSNBC actually used the word iron fist. And you are correct, this should be shot down in the courts with quickness but it probably won't get filed.

To answer your question- Biden doesn't GAF. It is all about power & control.

High cholesterol isn’t a communicable disease.

To me the R0 isn't the big issue, it's the testing time of the vaccines. Let's compare:

Atorvastatin (Lipitor®) - first developed in 1985, FDA approval in 2001.

Fluvastatin (Lescol®) - first patented in 1982, approved for use in 1994.

Lovastatin (Mevacor®, Altoprev™) - first created in 1979, FDA approved in 1987.

Pravastatin (Pravachol®) - patented in 1980, medical approval in 1989

Rosuvastatin Calcium (Crestor®) - Patented in 1991, FDA approved in 2003.

Simvastatin (Zocor®) - patented in 1980, approved for medical use in 1992.

Now, compare that to the fact that none of the vaccines existed, even for animal testing, in February 2020 yet just under a year later the government began pushing them in mass injections. We're still not a year into the majority of people having both injections (and none having both and a booster) yet we're seeing an attempt to mandate getting them.

In 1959, FDA had approved the marketing of Triparanol as a cholesterol-lowering agent. In 1962, the drug was withdrawn from the market after FDA discovered that the company had provided falsified laboratory data. The falsified data had omitted reference to the cataracts found in rats and dogs in pre-clinical trials, and some patients who had taken the drug for a year did develop cataracts.

Also see: Thalidomide

Also, also see: Swine flu debacle of 1976

The pushing to the point of mandating the use of what is still an experimental drug, by every reasonable definition of the word "experimental", is madness.

Yep I saw the segment.
It’s frightening to think so many people embrace totalitarian. They foolishly assume they’ll remain in power when the regime change comes.

Come on. Someone's high cholesterol level will never infect me. If you don't want a vaccination, just get tested once a week.

I'll play the percentages and get a booster when available to me. I'll also get a flu shot as I have been doing for decades.

If an annual booster is deemed the best approach, I'll take it.

The one year flu shots weren't widely available, as I recall it was 2009 or 10, I got a pretty bad case of flu. Otherwise, I haven't had a case since before I started getting vaccinated in the early 1990's.

The problem with the testing is, companies arent going to pay for it. So this is ultimately a vaccine or GTFO. testing is like $100 per week.

Good. I mean that sincerely.

I've got the flu 1 time in the past 20 years. Which was a month after I got the only flu shot I've had in my life.

Our two simple little anecdotes show just how different people's experiences can be medically. It's the easiest and most obvious argument against mandatory vaccines of any type

Strange, I haven’t had the flu since I first got it 20 years ago. Never get the flu shot. It’s like my immune system works.

You not washing your hands regularly can spread diseases to people. Should we start mandating that?

And vaccines are effective. Why do the vaccinated need to be protected from the unvaccinated?

They don't from the virus itself.

It's the unvaccinated clogging up hospitals, which is affecting the vaccinated. If hospitals are clogged up, other treatments cannot take place WHICH does affect the vaccinated.

Better get to lowering your cholesterol then fatty. Maybe you will save you some trips to a clogged up hospital.

I'm a healthy young male in my 20s.

I'm really not at risk of anything including COVID or any other health condition.

It's far more likely that other people on this board are more likely to be at risk of any condition. Some of you guys are in your 50s+ and I'd be willing to bet that most of you aren't thin individuals (most Americans are overweight so it's an easy assumption to make).

Said fatties are not getting vaccinated, which is why they're clogging up ICUs.

Hospitals are clogged with lots of people suffering the effects of their own decisions. Drug addicts, obese diabetics, smokers, etc. What makes them any less to blame for clogged hospitals?

I mean all of them are problems that also need to be tackled. Obesity, drug addicts, smokers are also clogging up hospitals but they're not communicable diseases. It will take decades for those problems to be fixed within the population.

On the other hand, the virus is a communicable disease that has a 'quicker' solution. Getting vaccinated reduces the symptoms of the virus significantly in vulnerable populations.

They may all be to blame for clogged up hospitals but at the moment, getting vaccinated reduces one of those causes. The other causes also should be tackled as well so I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here.

People who’ve been programmed by a steady diet of indoctrination cannot see this because they’re effectively robots now. You’re addressing robots Rev. Robots.

You've got to know this is coming, and on more than the OSHA front. Conservatives opened Pandora's box when they took the knee over Covid.

Vaccinated people are still going to the hospital with covid.

Not at anywhere near the same rates and the disparity becomes even worse once you control for age/vulnerability as older people are more likely to be vaccinated.

The point is to reduce hospitalizations, nobody is arguing that they'll be eliminated completely.

In the UK for example, 90% of the adult population is vaccinated with at least one dose and their death rate is half of ours. Their hospitalization rate is 1/3rd of the US daily rate. That's much worse than it sounds because the UK is much more densely packed than the US - the US should be having much fewer cases/hospitalizations/deaths right now as a rate compared with the UK.

And the UK has done terribly on dealing with the virus so it's not like I've picked an example of a country that's handled it very well.
