Try the one on Tchoupitoulas Street, or New Orleans East if it’s even still there. You’ll beg to go back to the one on College drive.

Member the Service Merchandise that was located there before the Walmart? I member Service Merchandise. One day I went in to replace a watch battery. They couldn't service my watch or some bs, so they told me about the little shop right next door that could help me.
So I walked inside and asked if she could help me. It was a woman. A real woman. The kind of woman that you'll probably encounter only a few times in your life. She was a hot thin Persian looking woman. And it turned out she was horney.
She had big earrings and big bracelets. Long red finger nails. Wearing a dress not really appropriate for watch repair and jewelry. Tits squished together perfectly, like above. (And I swear to God that picture ain't far from the truth.)
I was probably just out of high school and she maybe 28 and was giving me looks I never received before.
I didn't do or say much of anything because I was a dumbass...and still am. I didn't realize what was going on until later that day. Those eyes looking up at me kept reappearing in my mind.
She was putting off a sexual vibe I haven't felt since that day. It wasn't just a vibe; it was a hormonal scent that hit me like humid air stepping off a plane in New Orleans.
She was just a bored, horney young woman sitting in that shop all alone, all day, every day.
She changed my watched battery with those lovely long nails, bracelets clanging on the glass and those tits in clear view and then she sent me on my way. She knew I wasn't up to the challenge. Few are.
C'est la vie
frick that Walmart.

When I'm in rural Ga visiting family, I step in a SprawlMart and it's clean and orderly with competent employees. It's like going to another planet!
This is how it is in rural WNC as well. Walmart type retail jobs are highly sought after by the locals because there’s honestly not much else. They take pride in their work.

I think a large Walmart distribution center was fricked up by the storm. Just in time delivery logistics don’t do well in natural disasters.
I think you are talking about the distribution center in Robert, La. That was close to the eye and on the bad side.

You Must stop going to WalMart. ! I went to my small neighborhood local grocer (I will keep its name secret)here in Baton Rouge, and bought bread, hot dog buns, the shelves were full. Bought steaks, bacon, and hot dogs. Bought milk and ice cream, even strawberry jam. And a bottle of wine. 3 registers open with the manager/owner doing the bagging. One person in front of me, A wonderful time. Stop going into Wal Marts! They SUCK!
Great post, I agree. Walmart located itself just inside or outside medium sized cities and/or highways and killed off so many small charming mom and pop shops. Don't blame just the "poors" for this, everybody went their because at first it was bright, open 24 hours with parking and a greeter. Heck Donald Trump shopped at K-Mart (a competitor, same idea, though).
Anyone who has taken a business class at the college level will learn about different "types" of business and one is is the "low cost provider". The best example, Sprint and Frontier airlines. Crap service. Crap planes. Dicking you about every little thing, but hey, I saved five bucks on my six hour flight! I'll just ignore I now need lower back surgery from the seat! Same with WalMart, crap place, but hey, toilet paper is a little bit cheaper!
Support local businesses!

Oak Point in Central. Big enough to have what you need small enough to find it all.
Always clean...people are nice...good meat selection.

Exactly. The one on Tchoupitoulas is closest to me so I have to go there once or twice a month for convenience related issues that CVS can't cover.
What. A. Dive. Can't find any staff, place is disorganized... And they you have to show your receipt because theft is so bad there.

My neighborhood grocery doesn't except EBT Cards and is a little on the pricey side. Never see any trash in the store or in the parking lot.

Sounds like every big Walmart I go in to. I stay away from that place only go there if no other option

-Empty shelves with spoiled food
-long arse lines with employees that don’t give a frick (most self checkouts had hand written signs that said “Broke”)
-poor uneducated police and employees enforcing arbitrary rules when not even following themselves (masks on not even covering the nose)
-Trash everywhere and very unclean
-0 variety
This is literally every Walmart for the past 10 years.
My suggestion is ween yourself off of cheap China crap and shop at small locally owned stores if you can find them.
You'll have a longer drive to get there, you'll spend more money but you will support people who have the same ideals as you do in all likelihood. When enough people realize this and adopt this mindset the tides will turn. Like the old saying goes, no single rain drop feels responsible for the flood.

What you're really seeing is globalized capitalism.
A supply chain so diluted and fragile it can't respond to shocks. A store filled with cheap Chinese shite.
Bottom feeder employees are all they can attract because the corporation pays shite wages.
All in the name of maximizing profits.

Are you sure that this isn't a typical Wal Mart experience? Right now post hurricane you have a supply chain log jam especially in SE La. You have many people in the affected areas spending more and buying more food because they have had to throw away so much due to spoilage.
Wal Mart alone is not experiencing this in South Louisiana. Last night I went to Rouses and experienced it as I did when I went to Winn Dixie to see if it was any better....it wasn't

Would drive to Walmart in Lafayette before patronizing the College Drive Walmart (shithole).

White people, myself included, shop there simply because the Zachary WM is so halfassed.
But the clientele AND the employees are overwhelmingly black.
