Go to Walmart on College Dr if you want a sneak peak on socialism in Louisiana

-Empty shelves with spoiled food
-long arse lines with employees that don’t give a frick (most self checkouts had hand written signs that said “Broke”)
-poor uneducated police and employees enforcing arbitrary rules when not even following themselves (masks on not even covering the nose)
-Trash everywhere and very unclean
-0 variety

‘Poor’ I know but I made my monthly trek to Walmart for TP/Paper towels/soups etc. I felt like I was in Venezuela. WOW what a shite hole.. could you imagine if that sort of thing was completely run by the government?? It would be 100x worse.

Baker WM has been similar since the storm.

Tempers were flaring the other day when they were limiting people going into the store, with accusations of racism. Considering I went in and spotted more associates working than people shopping, I would tend to agree.

Didn't a hurricane just pass through?

Not saying it wasn’t caused by the hurricane but just making a observation/prediction

Yes, but areas even southeast of us have better services.

This is evidence of the entitled, "take care of me" types that frequent the WM on college.

Instead of driving to another store a few exits down the interstate they insist on crowding the Wal Mart and then they have nothing to buy and the employees have nothing to sell. And both parties really don't give a F. They just want to be taken care of by a company or government.

Rant off.

ETA: Rant back on. This is the kind of helpless, selfish, and dumb behavior you will see from the masses when, and if, shite really does hit the fan.

Buy property outside of a major city.

I’ve been in there multiple times prior to Covid, I thought it was generally a shithole to begin with, and with Covid and Ida it’s only worse…

College Walmart is fricked because they don't get a proper budget for payroll. It is almost impossible to staff the store for the times when students are in when they cut payroll so hard for summer and all holiday breaks.

They need to suck it up and not cut so harsh when kids are out, nobody is going to work there, even those that are going to be life long hourly slaves, when hours are cut to unlivable levels so many times throughout the year.

I think a large Walmart distribution center was fricked up by the storm. Just in time delivery logistics don’t do well in natural disasters.

Two places I have no desire to visit, Havana and Walmart, and definitely not Walmart on College Drive.

Try the one on Tchoupitoulas Street, or New Orleans East if it’s even still there. You’ll beg to go back to the one on College drive.

You Must stop going to WalMart. ! I went to my small neighborhood local grocer (I will keep its name secret)here in Baton Rouge, and bought bread, hot dog buns, the shelves were full. Bought steaks, bacon, and hot dogs. Bought milk and ice cream, even strawberry jam. And a bottle of wine. 3 registers open with the manager/owner doing the bagging. One person in front of me, A wonderful time. Stop going into Wal Marts ! They SUCK !

When I'm in rural Ga visiting family, I step in a SprawlMart and it's clean and orderly with competent employees. It's like going to another planet!

Won't go in a Louisiana SprawlMart. Would rather do without or pay more.
