If we're 6-6 or worse?

Barring a complete meltdown (on or off the field), I don't think he's fired until after Thanksgiving.

Likely not, but not impossible.

Do not discount the fact that if Scott Woodward ever opens up and shares his true inner feelings in private to his wife or a trusted confidant, he is saying:

“I’m just looking for an excuse to fire his dumb arse.”

He’ll get some grace after winning the next two…which he shouldn’t.

The tale of the tape will be msu/Aub/Kentucky

I’m guessing 1-2 record vs SEC

If those 2 losses look UCLA or 2020 Aub…he’s fired after Kentucky.

Or he’s removed after OM/Bama

I don’t see LSU keeping it remotely close to either.

I think he is done unless he gets 9 wins and cleans up the outside shite. And I mean 9 regular season wins to. Not this 8 wins and a bowl win.

A 6-6 trajectory means we go 3-5 in the SEC which means we would potentially have 2 or 3 SEC losses before we play Bama.

In this scenario I think he gets fired the day after we lose to Ole Miss in Oxford so interim can have 2 weeks to salvage anything from the Bama game or the season. Not losing by 30 points to Bama would be a success in this scenario

Imo, if you wait to fire him say in January 2022 then he already has a foothold in leveraging recruits so he has power again at the table. It becomes harder from an opportunity cost perspective if you wait till the end of the season. Just rip off the band aid after a 3&4 start and lock down the new guy. Will make the Bama beatdown a non-starter in 5 star recruiting battle because we are transitioning. Hey Mr. Woodward, like Starksky & Hutch said, "Do it. Do it."

The only reason I say no is because we don't have any coaches on staff with any HC experience to take over.

I mean… if we’re 6-6 it’s the end of the season.

It’s not smart, if you fire him, wait after the early signing period.

If we start SEC play 0-3, there's going to be an uprising that could result in his dismissal.

I don’t think they’ll wait to pull the trigger with Coach O. They fiddled around with Miles for too long and they know it.

The first SEC team besides Bama that makes LSU look as bad as Saturday night and he’s done by that Sunday.

YES… really no matter what his record is word on the street is that everyone in the top tier is just as pissed about his off field antics than his on field record…it’s getting unbearable for a major university to tolerate some of the under cover things that have been going on or has gone on.. time will tell.. when and if it makes national news then you will know…the buyout isn’t a problem..just relaying the message…

Probably between end of season and bowl game (if applicable).

If we're 6-6 or worse?

How would he be fired before the season is over if we are 6-6 or worse?

If it goes sideways with L's to Miss State and Kentucky, yes. Likely by the end of the season. Buyout won't be an issue and will be negotiated down because Woodward can hold cause over Ed's head.
