Left Pearland Tx at 8:00 this morning and pulled into River Ridge at 2:00 with a half hour stop in Rayne for food ice and gas. Took I-10 the whole way and only had traffic at the new bridge.

I would recommend anyone coming from TX stop in Rayne or Lafayette at the very latest as a couple stations in Rayne were out and every time I passed an exit I saw more and more lines and pumps out. It was sad seeing all the people stranded on the side of I-10 heading out who ran out of gas.

3oliv3, you were able to stay on I-10 through LaPlace? Did you notice how westbound I-10 looked in LaPlace...were there any cars going that direction?

Any Louisiana baws coming back from points east might want to wait. I-10 is bad and a lot of back roads in Harrison and Hancock are blocked off.

By Thursday it should be a lot better.

Yes and yes. Never noticed an interruption in traffic WB and had no problem EB. Laplace exit is still flooded up to about 100 yards from I-10 as of 1:30PM.

Was able to go 190 across to HWY1 and down to Thibodaux yesterday…. No problems… no traffic, nothing…

Avoided any major areas. Just sharing.

It’s not great in Thibodaux, but we’ll bounce back…

stay away of Laplace

Laplace is well-nigh illivable now, and it's wholly irreachable by automobile.

I just drove from Houston to Mobile yesterday and back this morning. Gas is in Biloxi onward, but traffic is really heavy depending on when you go. I would advise leaving your house before 4am. We were in 10mph traffic all the way from New Orleans, through Slidell, into Mississippi to the Diamondhead exit when it finally started to clear, no accidents, just lots of people

I'm making the same drive tomorrow but from Houston to pensacola. I was thinking about driving up through Alexandria and Hattiesburg to avoid going through i-10 and br. However that will be an extra 2 hours. Do you think its woth it?

Does anyone can know if you can get into New Orleans from Mississippi on I-10?

Mississippi/Louisiana state line to Nola is wide open with some traffic issues but not much heading into the city. I’ve driven it 3 times a day since Sunday. Heading back to Mississippi from New Orleans however has been riddled with bumper to bumper traffic on i10
