Whatever my charcoal grill can cook, so steaks, pork, chicken.
If I lose electricity, maybe all at the same time.

Soy boys,
For me it is potted meat, sunbeam bread and mustard. Pretty good shite. Better than a lot of MREs.

Deer sausage, fish, shrimp. Start cleaning out the freezer so I don’t have to try and save it all if the power is out to long.
Lots of beer and bourbon.

Gumbo. My neighbor is an old Cajun lady who gets nervous in bad weather. Her stress relief is cooking for about 40 people. I just walk over and eat.

Well it’s definitely not that
I eat well during both hurricanes and severe freezes. Often times we will go ahead and use it as an excuse clean out the freezer even if we don’t lose power. Gumbo, smothered pork, various sausages and bacon wrapped/cream cheese stuffed meat products, etc.
Back when I was a college student, I’d make a huge batch of spaghetti and mix it together with the noodles in a big container. Keep it in the fridge with plans to eat it cold if I lose power, hot if I don’t.
In hindsight (god, knock on wood), I haven’t lost power for weather since moving out of my parents’ home 12 years ago.
