Is Sony/Playstion Out Of Touch

Watching trailers from Gamescon. I can't help but wonder if Sony has no clue what American games want to play. It seemed like every game I want to play is on Xbox! Games like Crusader Kings 3 etc.... I've have owned every generation of Playstation, but this is really the first time I've even considered switch. Am I just over reacting because of Sony's lack of promotion of any new next generation games?

By no means a Playstation fan but their track record of amazing games should leave you with little doubt of great games to play.

Despite lower sales than Sony PS it does feel like Xbox has the momentum at the moment but part of that feeling is their exclusive content was soo bare for years. I agree though I'm more excited about their exclusives (timed or otherwise) than Playstation. Getting most of that content on Gamepass is pretty impressive too.

Gaming overall is hurting. No one wants to make anything fun anymore. It’s all about hype and micro shite.
The two best games I’ve played in the last 2 years were $40 game from the same studio that were simple yet very fun: Maneater and Chivalry 2. They are by no means perfect, but those guys get what gaming is suppose to be: FUN!

Sony built their brand on narrative based single player games. Xbox conversely on multiplayer and online. That’s not to say there isn’t any crossover. I much prefer PlayStation over Xbox and the Ps4 generation of games only solidified that. This console generations launch titles are pretty weak for both consoles especially compared to the last which included titles like Bloodborne. To say they’re out of touch is major stretch though as PlayStation has some very nice looking exclusives coming down the line.

Neither was Nintendo, I doubt you saw anything from them either.
CK3 is coming to playstation
They may need to look into etc though.
Unless you are a big Halo or Bethesda fan, you will be fine.

I agree, I will say I've been playing the new Ratchet and Clank and it's pretty fun. One of the few games recently I can't wait to get home and play. The graphics are amazing and the guns are each unique and fun. They also add new wrinkles into the gameplay as you progress to keep it interesting.

These threads always crack me up. Sony has already sold almost 11 million PS5s with a subpar launch lineup.

Here are the top 10 best-selling titles:

X-Box lost the previous gen console war due to a lack of quality exclusive games. PS4 absolutely dominated in that respect. However, Microsoft has gone all out to buy up game studios to vastly increase X-Box’s exclusive content. I agree that X-Box has some momentum right now, but I feel like PS5 will continue to be competitive so long as Square Enix puts out quality exclusive content. If FF16 and FF7 Remake Part 2 are good, PS5 will continue to hold strong.

Going in so heavy on Gamepass was the move that saved them. I’ve been mostly a PS lifer outside of the 360 but the series S with gamepass is almost the perfect solution for kids especially. $16/month for a pretty impressive library. And making new releases like Halo straight to gamepass is HUGE too.
So my kids have that while I’ve still got the PS5. The exclusives are too good

It was that and a lot of goodwill lost through shoddy production practices that led to the RRoD, the "always on" kinect, not being able to share games and other creepy practices.
