Wannstedt said on 670 the Score that several Big 12 schools are already making plans to join other conferences in the future. He said Oklahoma State and Kansas State will join the Pac-12, West Virginia will join the ACC and Kansas and Iowa State will join the Big Ten.

If the PAC took K-State over Texas Tech, that would be odd.

The PAC-12 is going to raid the Big12 and not take a single Texas school. Lol.

Why would the PAC want K State? Why would the Big Ten want Iowa St? Since when does WVU meet the ACC’s supposed academic standards?

Why wouldn't the Big Ten want Iowa State? They are becoming better than Iowa, who they have in football and basketball.

As far as WVU. (Recently, WVU released a video on Twitter that details some of the advanced research that the university is doing such as seeking a cure for Alzheimer's, discovering solutions to the nationwide opioid epidemic, launching new ways of producing energy such as shale gas conversion, and transforming carbon into 21st-century manufacturing possibilities among several other studies. This allows WVU to be classified as an R1 Research Universities in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.)

Why Pac would want K-State, I habe no idea.

Iowa State brings no real fan base, no new markets, and no track record for sustained success.

At least Maryland and Rutgers delivered big media markets.

I thought Kansas State would definitely be getting screwed in this realignment. TCU, Baylor, and Tech all seem like better options

You have to make a move just to keep up with the Joneses. Iowa State currently brings a decent football team and a basketball program that is capable of being consistently solid.

I just can’t imagine a CFB where Kansas State, Texas Tech, KU, Iowa State, and WVU aren’t in a major conference. It’s been a long time since they’ve been outside of the “P5” (or whatever term you’d use for it when there were more than 5 big conferences).

I feel like Baylor and TCU will get the shaft, and I’m not sure they should. If you look at overall athletic programs, I feel like Rutgers is the least worthy of a P5 slot.

Iowa State was a laughing stock a few years ago. Now, they’re competing for Big 12 championships which isn’t much to say, but they’re as good as other Big 12 schools.
