You act like every unvaxxed person who contracts the virus is automatically headed to the hospital. I got it and didn’t have as much as a doctor visit. Explain to me why I must get a shot.

That’s like saying I drive drunk and never crash into a school bus. Why must I not drive drunk. Just because you got lucky doesn’t mean it couldn’t have happened differently, that odds of a problem weren’t drastically higher for you. When more people get vaxxed, less people die. When less people die, more things are open (ie, more “freedom” or whatever you cosplay freedoms fighters who signed up for selective service, pay taxes, follow traffic laws, etc think you have; opting out of a shot doesn’t make you more “free”, just more susceptible to illness).

I don’t see it as luck. I bust my arse to keep myself healthy. People in my situation with my health record aren’t dying.

You’re devoid of critical thinking. Survival rate is not the only thing to consider here. Overwhelming the healthcare system is the biggest issue. Yes you may/should survive the infection by the stats but if you end up in the hospital then you take up a bed when beds are few. And you should stop and think about why the survival rate is what it is…mask, social distancing, remote work/schools etc. Without those measures your mortality rate is much higher. Get a shot or get a test…not that difficult.

No doubt. And that’s my issue with painting with a broad brush.

Why put an FDA-approved vaccine in quotes? It’s a vaccine.

The answer to your question can be found in the answer to a similar question.

Nobody is making you do anything, you have the following choices:

- Get the vaccine

- Get tested

- Don’t go to the game

This is fundamentally no different than requiring pants to enter a stadium. NOBODY IS MAKING YOU WEAR PANTS.

The pandemic was not raging during most of baseball season like it is now. Delta has
made things much worse. I grant that if you’ve had Covid, you have some immunity, but the vaccine is much better. It will grow in your nasal passages and throat for much less time with the vaccine. In reality, even vaccinated people can spread it, but just for much less time, however masks should be mandatory for everyone, since all can spread it, and screaming fans that are packed in will spread it much easier without masks. You might still infect the row in front of you with a mask, but not the 3 rows in front of you. Masks would limited the spread much more.

It can.. there is an alternative to getting the vaccine. Providing a negative test.. unless you plan on going to the game while being positive for covid this doesn’t affect you

You said your decision to wait and see wasn’t being respected. You don’t have to get the vax.. just test negative for covid.

Exactly….all these people up in arms are just upset that they have to be inconvenienced during a pandemic. If you test negative(which you can get tested for free) then just go to the game….you wouldn’t be going to the game anyway if you were positive for Covid unless you were a complete piece of shite.

The highest capacity MLB stadium is roughly 50% of Death Valley. Apples and oranges.. also different times span. Variables have changed since start of MLB. Third, how many MLB games were played in Louisiana?

So can someone who tested negative 3 days prior to the game then contracted the virus. These rules aren’t going to eliminate the threat of covid. They are to MITIGATE the threat
