So you don't think Desantis will need some freaking courage to stop a one hundred year slide and march towards slavery?

It's you who are deluded, Mr. Team Desantis.

Honest to God this forum is almost becoming impossible to read because of idiotic statements like you make.

the federal government cannot pay state employees. End of story. anything they say is an absolute falsehood and the fact it an idiot like you print it shows how stupid you actually are

just get off the board and make it better for everybody else

I know in Louisiana, public school teachers are employees of the various parish school boards. They aren’t deemed employees of the state.

I may have misread... but the feds are offering to replace money... this money would go to the board of ed and they would use it to pay teachers...

Schools hire federally funded teachers every year also..

First, this has nothing to do with teacher pay DeSantis only mentioned punishment to the board for a mask mandate.

The federal government does not have any ability to pay a school board of a state., End of story

Sir you are an imbecile if you think federal funds won't pay these employees. The Feds have broken many laws. The freaking CDC just prevented landlords from collecting their duely deserved rent.

What planet are you on.

Perhaps I've missed something previously in this thread, but it's a very common practice to either fully fund various state employment positions or at least supplement them with federal grants. For instance, the "defund police" thing at the federal level. They aren't talking about defunding some federal police force. They talking about abstaining from offering federal grants to local departments that literally use those funds to hire more officers.

Thanks for admitting that the federal government does not have the authority to pay and proving you are an imbecile and an idiot

Again do everyone a favor and leave the board

The employees in question are paid by the state.

But thanks for confusing the issue.

The funding or lack of funding has already been set by the prior and upcoming budgets.

Again, there is zero authority for the federal government to pay local school administrators other than what was already budgeted

Yeah, I’m definitely voting for Biden if DeSantis loses this battle.

If you're talking about the fed not arbitrarily kicking in some extra dough in the middle of a budget year, I guess that makes sense for me, but there is likely federal money in the budget.

Public school cannot be saved. Parents need to withdraw their kids if they care about them that’s what needs to be done. These people have made up their minds that they’re communists. They’re gonna force you wear masks and teach CRT and drag queen storytime. Vote with your feet and homeschool. And then send the teachers and their unions to prison

Would be possible if the govt didn’t push for women to enter the workforce in the name of feminism 70 years ago.

Nowadays people are reliant on two incomes.

There is no money in the federal budget to, for example, pay a salary for the Orlando Orange County local school board for issuing a mask mandate.

Period, end of story.
