side note - California restaurants are requiring vaccination proof in order to dine. It's not impossible to think that this will be pushed to indoor events (sports, concerts, etc.) and trickle down to some other states.

And I honestly expect JBE to try and use this as a way to get people vaxxed.

Of course they are. The new president thinks math is racist. You didn’t think he was gonna balk at the opportunity to force a vaccine that was developed under a year on healthy college kids and impress his liberal overlords?

Getting the vaccine will not prevent a single human being from dying, sport.

I can understand someone being hesitant to get the vaccine before it’s approved beyond the emergency authorization, but once it’s gotten that approval it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me why someone would have a problem with it.

Doesn't LSU already require that incoming students show proof of certain vaccinations, like measles, etc.?

Those of us that have gotten it miraculously avoided death apparently. Haven’t you read the poli board? People are dropping like flies.

because history is full of vaccines that were cancelled/yanked/abolished years down the road because people realized they were doing just as much harm as good.

Stop watching Fox News dude. The vaccine as a whole wasn't developed in under a year. Scientist has been working on this shite for years. (A vaccine to fight off a major virus).

Vaccines take years to develop because of $$$. Trump used Operation Warp Speed to put funding on a rocket straight to pharma. Not only that, you have the entire world trying to work on COVID because it was hitting everyone indiscriminately.

However, I am against the idea of calling it a "vaccine" because that word implies it's a cure, which is clearly not the case.

Do you honestly think the FDA will not approve it at this point? Sorry to all of the millions we pushed this on it turns out it’s unsafe or ineffective or causes variants.. they are under to much pressure to approve it.

Again if you want to take it or you’re an at risk group then great! But don’t force a highly politicized vaccine on everyone else.
