“Andrew Cuomo killed thousands of elderly people”

And is a “murderer”, this is commonly thrown around on this board, yes this one, not the Poli board(though I’m sure there as well). Does anyone really think he intentionally killed old people in NY? Which is more likely, a Governor of one of the largest states in the US intentionally killed elderly people in his state or that he made a bad decision based on super limited knowledge? It’s as absurd as when liberals say Trump is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths regarding Covid.

he didnt kneel on any of their necks for 10 minutes. thats real murder.

doesn't excuse the fact of suppressing the numbers, regardless of his actual intentions

Fine. He "triaged" thousands of old people.

I don't think he wanted to kill elderly people, but his direct orders for nursing homes to take in COVID patients killed A LOT of people. His career should've ended right then and there.
And instead of admitting that he made a mistake, he lied about the numbers several times, and he wrote a book about his awesome leadership.

The irony is that he called anyone who wasn’t wearing a mask a murderer back when people thought he deserved an Emmy for how he handled the pandemic in the early stages.

Well, what do you call it when you intentionally put people with a virus known to be extremely deadly to the elderly into old folks homes?

I don't care to get into political talk, but are you not aware of the concept of negligent homicide?

bad decision based on super limited knowledge?
But, forcing covid positive patients on nursing homes is gross negligence in my opinion to the level that reaches criminality

Anybody else make the same decision? To knowingly park the infected next to the highly vulnerable?

That's the biggest part of the problem

No but at the very least he is a careless idiot.

Exactly. And then lying about the numbers to cover your arse and then writing a book about how great he did at handling the pandemic.

I think decisively forcing nursing homes to take in infected people, is more indictable than allowing individuals/organizations to make their own decisions.
Especially when that decisiveness is actioned upon "super limited knowledge" as you mention.
Oh, and twisting the data to hide the severity of deaths in the nursing homes? Ya, frick that guy.

Putting covid positive patients in nursing homes is the equivalent of putting babies in crack houses
You are guaranteeing increased deaths
I truly think they are just as mind numbingly dumb decisions

At best it’s negligent homicide.
This is how you know that COVID is 100% a political tool. Cuomo handled COVID worse than any other governor in the country and was lauded as some sort of hero by the press. He wrote a best selling book on leadership during Covid. Hell, they were talking about fricking Nobel prizes for him when in actuality his decisions directly caused the deaths of thousands.
He’ll probably say he was listening to experts, which is probably true. Which coincidentally is the reason why you should always assume “experts” are wrong.

He told nursing homes they HAD to take Covid patients that were discharged and, when the homes balked over safety concerns, he wrote in civil protections for the homes from getting sued over any ill effects from it.
If it wasn't intentionally killing old people it was negligence on a grand scale.
