If there is a number that is not "retired" that has some historical onus to it, it's 21. Jerry Stovall, Dalton Hilliard.

Kiner wore it in HS, and probably asked for it. I suspect several coaches have explained to him the expectations that go with those digits.

Love this kid.

Yeah I'm sure he got a history lesson right after the coaches were teaching max Johnson about ya tittle. I hope Johnson knows the shoes he has to fill of Yelberton Abraham.

Damm I remember when Dalton & Garry James burst onto the scene in 1982. They were freshman and Dalton was making Florida defenders looking like fools trying to tackle him

Pretty sure Rashard* Robinson came in as a 3 star corner and had it as a freshman.

Wish that were true and players would care about tradition instead of having those stupid duplicate numbers.

We played against Dalton at EDW and he was a stud! Started as an 8th grader! Never seen anyone with bigger legs! James was a beast!!

Is he good to go, or showed up a little overweight? Just some rumors on some of the sites?

I agree with you completely, 21 is certainly a worthy number to retire for Stovall.

I think Kiner is the next great back. We are really due for a RB to hit. Has to be him or Armoni that takes it to the next level.

Just remember that Toles is wearing #21 too, also a beast.

Both of these guys could've played at some big time schools, but wanted to compete at LSU.

Are you saying LSU isn’t a big time school?

I'm saying they chose us over big time schools where they could've been the man. Chill

Kiner would've been the best RB recruit at a lot of great programs. Instead he knew he was coming in behind Armoni, at least on paper, but is willing to work and compete.

Toles was the only safety in his class, but he knew that Ricks had the inside track to playing as a freshman. McGlothern was no slouch coming in either.
