Not only did the CDC reinstate the moratorium but they wrote new laws as well

The new 60-day CDC eviction moratorium carries steep criminal penalties for individual landlords who break the law:
- Potential $100k fine and 1 year in jail if eviction doesn't result in death
- Up to $250k fine and 1 year in jail if an evicted person dies
I had no idea they had such power

Is this real?
What’s stopping them from doing something like this with guns?

They don't. I wish people would not follow them.

I don’t think this is what potato meant by “this will be a different moratorium than last time.”
This is substantially similar in design except for the penalties piled on the landlord.

Absolutely does not have the authority to do this.
They just want gunfire in the streets in a hurry to initiate martial law and eliminate the rest of the constitutional rights.

This is horseshitt and they know they have absolutely zero authority for such .
They are not a governing entity nor do they have standing . The 12 people that would way in on this may be somewhat compromised but this would separate the hens from the roosters . Unless Marshall Law were to kick in the government cannot stop you legally from making money on services rendered , this would be tantamount to being a slave . You’d be forced to provide labor for no wages and provide them with living arrangements for free .

A judge will strike this down before the end of the week. Democrats will blame republicans even tho they had a month to try to pass a real law. Both sides want it to end because they are all just puppets for special interest groups.

Welcome to the slide into totalitarianism.
They will not give up power from here on.

Well that will just about do it. The age of the US being a constitutional republic have officially ended. We are now governed by a one party totalitarian state with dictatorial powers.
We had a good run though.

Need more with that. Those code sections refer to the generic sentencing laws with classifications of offenses AND the last two sections deal with violations of QUARANTINE
those sections have nothing to do with landlord tenant
Eta: it refers to the "Order" but where is the entire Order

Does it provide protection for the landlords from the banks?

Nothing. A lot of us have been saying all along that Covid is more about guns and "climate change" than it is about a virus.
