People on the internet: I've researched this topic heavily!

Also people on the internet: Here's a poll done by an organization that believes vaccines cause autism.

can we get CrimsonFever and Nurse to jump into the Mission, TX thread to give us their commentary on the border crisis fueling the COVID pandemic. Seems like it would interest you COVIDIANS…..guess not

So a survey of 301 antivaxxer physicians shows that 40% of them have chosen to get this particular vaccine?

That's actually a hell of a testimonial in favor of the COVID vax.

Surgeons are probably the only based kind of doctors left

The rest are mostly cringe

You can tell if someone is based or cringe based on if they get vaccinated or not

Yeah people don’t realize the nut job org AAPS is.

40% of those screwballs getting vaccinated is pretty impressive.

I volunteer over 20 hours a week at a local church where people get vaccinated. I dont want any unvaccinated people to die and certainly dont celebrate when one does. Its the people spreading covid and vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories that are gonna cause more people to needlessly die from covid.

Is it nuttier than the AMA which justified protesting and rioting during the height of the pandemic?

Right? An organization that supports vaccines causing autism and almost half got vaccinated?

That's pretty telling.

Some other statistics I would guess about the AAPS (based on article snipet/no other research):

99.9% of physicians working in a US hospital have never heard of the AAPS.

>50% of AAPS members believe in chelation therapy for autism, “gut toxins” relieved with gluten free diets or coffee enemas, and the trendy snake oil of the day, as long as they can bill for it.

One can join the AAPS without proof of any qualifications. Most members have multiple letters after their names like FAAPS (fellow of the xyz) like they actually passed a board or did a fellowship to join.

They’re both shite in different ways. The AMA is a notorious liberal org.

People trying to justify a moronic decision are really going off the rails.

Is citing the AAPS rock bottom?

I honestly don’t know any AMA members either. I know the journal, but most of their membership must be from clueless office secretaries who actually send the organization a check when they send their fake invoices.

Trying to tie these two statements together has me all messed up. I feel like I'm back in financial accounting doing balance sheets.

I have never heard of them and am a practicing physician. Most doctors I know got vaccinated as soon as possible. I am not aware of any unvaccinated docs I work with.

Serious question, why as soon as possible?

Probably because they were treating covid patients and didn’t want to catch and spread it to their family, other patients, elderly inpatients, etc.

In other words, they were a considerate person who believed in the good ole fashioned “Do no harm” philosophy
