Agreed.

Finley would still be behind Max if be stayed. Still interesting he chose AU, because I expect him to sit behind Nix.

I'm guessing since this means surgery he's probably about a minimum of 8-12 weeks correct? Man this really sucks. Oh well, guess it's time to start the Max pain train early.

I’m not sure this is a huge deal even for Brennan

He should still be able to 100% run drills and throwing drills even as long as the break isn’t in his shoulder area

I would imagine it’s a forearm break. That won’t effect anything in non contact drills

Assuming the break heals in 4-6 weeks, he could still be set to be day 1 starter

And what's he doing at Auburn? 3rd on depth chart? Yeah, like I said, LOL, go swap teams instead of being #2 behind a young hybrid running QB.

Because of surgery. You can't have a QB in the game taking hits from the side or that arm. He'd be on a stretcher immediately c'mon dude. Even if he fully healed in 6 weeks they're not putting him out on the field immediately. It's Max or bust now. It's speculation of course we need more details but the assumption is he's probably at best a late season option for us.

I’m telling you there is zero way of knowing without knowing the bone

Some qbs have put a small cast on a broken non throwing arm and played the next week

Some are out extended time

Without knowing which bone, we can’t even guess. But with almost 6 weeks before game 1, this isn’t a season ender for him, and the fact he can still participate in non contact drills is huge for him

WTF? This is just ridiculous. Max can certainly run the show but I hope Nuss can step up/in when/if needed.

The grid-iron is not for max, good kid, I like Jim as a player but, maybe he should try fencing or track. It’s obvious that he’s not cut out for contact sports. Can we get TJ back?

Yeah I know what you're saying but they're going to protect him. The dude had a freak injury last year. There's no way if he's fully healed in 6 weeks will he be sniffing the field soon after. I think he'll be available later in the season but definitely not anytime soon. His career could be done here. It's sad because I think he's very talented and deserved a chance.

yeah, hate to think it, but if Max happens to get hurt on a play, what does that do for the season?

Not an option. LSU has used all 25 allotted signing spots for this year's roster. This means they cannot add depth from the transfer portal this fall. Max and Nussmeier are the current available QBs.

I'll say what we are all thinking. If this was fricking Alabama, they'd be allowed to bring someone in regardless of this fact.

O, make it happen.

By almost 6 weeks do you mean less than 5?

Man, this is Terrible news, if we’re gonna win 10 games this year then max is gonna have to be a whole lot better than he was in 2020.

I mean, you can only throw the deep dig so many times
