The bums will never be punished for littering. In Shreveport, the bums would go to the food pantry where they would be given food to go. The bums would immediately throw all the trash out on the ground. For whatever reason, bums have absolute immunity when it comes to trashing up the environment.

I've seen this with my own eyes as well. It immediately makes you want to punch one of those stupid fvcks for throwing shite on the ground when there's a trash can just feet away.

Why aren’t police/deputies enforcing litter laws against transient beggars? The same reason 97% of all dwis in EBR occur south of Florida Blvd….clearly they don’t drink and drive north of US 190…or they only charge people who are likely to attend court and pay the fine $$$

Also, would not be surprising to learn these panhandlers are Soros-funded just like Antifa. It is so demoralizing to see SWB and Latoya the Destroya to purposefully allow these infiltrators to overrun the cities

Don’t worry, all those exits have fancy new signs asking people to not give them money.

The one at I-12 and O'Neal magically disappears a couple days after it gets put up. City puts up a new one and the same thing happens.

Why come into a thread and talk about your vagina feelings? Why? Either offer your 16 cents (doubt you'll get this reference) or skip over the thread. Jesus, this is not Nextdoor or Facebook.

What exactly are you trying to get out this thread? An answer for why bums like big gulps? Because they are cheap and have refills

Is it just me or have these signs been picked up? I noticed the other day that the one off of the Sherwood exit was missing.

Every city and even statewide has a Littering Law that has teeth like court costs and possibly even jail time beyond just the monetary fine.
I personally saw two individuals arrested for trespassing, in Biloxi. One was a guest of the hotel that refused to leave, the other was a bum/homeless who refused to leave. Guess which one was released without paying anything. One was in and out of the jail in less than 30 minutes. The other had to be processed and someone had to come and post bond equivalent of what the judge would fine if found guilty.

Cities have a no win situation when it comes to bums. If they arrest and hold them, they get fed and housed. They have no money, and nothing of value to put a lien against. Only solution is to run them out of town.

There was one bum shaving another bums neck at the corner here in Houston. Just sitting on the curb, shaving his neck while he was making another sign to beg for money.

I see these two a lot. The have a tent in the woods by the reservoir by my house. He always yells to me (not threatening, but asking me if I like ‘the good shite’) when he sees me, she’s always yelling at him

That is their life. I’ve been switching it from a distance for a year..

It's in the OP. And if you can't see the problem driving around with your own eyes (for me it's Baton Rouge, insert probably any big city in Louisiana here), then I honestly don't know what to tell you. The problem is getting more pronounced and I'm afraid the eviction moratorium ending could make it 5 times worse.

Our elected officials are more closely related to spectators and victims than anything resembling actual leaders.

But the true indictment is on those who both elect, and re-elect them to office.

Don’t worry, all those exits have fancy new signs asking people to not give them money. The homeless problem in BR has finally been solved

Actually if these people would quit giving them money they wouldn’t still be out there begging.

Because this is a dumb thread. Yes. No one likes litter.

But to ask police of a city that already can’t get crime under control to start arresting homeless people for standing next to trash is fricking ridiculous.

You truly have no clue how this works, do you. I said NOTHING about the police because I know their hands are tied. I said LAWS which starts with.....nevermind, you either understand shite or you don't. Thanks though for showing your ignorant arse in this thread.

The litter problem in Baton Rouge was much worse than what I remembered from the past when I visited from out of town a few weeks ago. Why not get prisoners and people sentenced to community service to pick up the trash? Obviously, you can't stop people from littering.

Well you would think since they're ignoring actual crime, they'd have the time to go after litterers?

yeah let’s start dropping heavy fines on bums so they can get contempt of court charges for not paying, so we can lock them up and feed them 3 hots a day and a cot with taxpayers money
