In the NFL, you can't even so much as breathe on a QB or WR without drawing a penalty. Players spend more time complaining and whining than playing. The sports doesn't actually matter as much as social media to them.

In college, money has basically killed tradition and rivalry and it's happening before your eyes. The only rivalries that will matter going forward are the ones that ESPN and others decree to matter in their opinion.

The whole thing has been co-opted by rich administrative officials who rake in the cash.

Oh well. I've still got baseball.

Because the CBA between owners and players has severely cut back on off-season practices and training camp, the level of play has really gone down - especially in the first 2 or 3 games. Start looking for how many false start/illegal motion/delay of game/illegal formation penalties there are at the beginning of the season. Not to mention blown blocking assignments and secondary coverage. But the fans kept watching so the league was rewarded for a lesser product.

So in other words... You're not really a big football fan. Just a fan of your teams.

its bc in the CBA, the players chose to fight for 1. More money 2. More time off. They submitted on just about every other option, even allowing roger gooddell to increase his own power to become judge, jury , and executioner.

So the players make more money and have more time off...... but the product deteriorates

It’s meaning less every day. The one thing I really don’t like about conference expansion is it impacts that traditional feel.

Oklahoma vs Missouri in the SEC?

You only say this because you’re a state fan and now that OU and Texas are in the conference, y’all will never sniff 10 wins again. This hurts teams like y’all more than anyone.
