HOUSTON — The Texas State Teachers Association on Tuesday called on Gov. Greg Abbott to allow for mask requirements when students go back to class.
With COVID-19 cases increasing again and many people still unvaccinated, the American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended that everyone older than 2 wear a mask when they go back to school. Children younger than 12 have not yet been approved for the COVID vaccine,” stated TSTA President Ovidia Molina. “If Gov. Abbott really cares about the health and safety of Texas students, educators and their communities, he will give local school officials and health experts the option of requiring masks in their schools.”

So... you're telling me the vaccine doesn't work?

I’m 100% pro vaccination.
I’m 100% against mask requirements for children.

I suggest teachers wear masks if they are ugly frickers.
The kids shouldn’t need to be masked.

He better not, re-election is coming and he really doesn't have many votes to spare.

Remember, masks and vaccines are so effective that me getting vaccinated and wearing a mask is not going to keep me safe unless you do it too.

People under 12 can't take it
Why do you keep insisting the vaccine doesn't work when every relevant metric states that it has tremendous benefit?
Oh because you're a retard

People who vax are natural selection breeding grounds for covid variants to allude the vax itself...

Teachers can vax and wear masks if they choose to do so… There still is 0 evidence that children actively spread the virus and the number of deaths amongst those under 12 is minuscule.
The harm of wearing a mask is worse for children than the virus itself.

Teachers just want to miss an entire to two thirds of a school year and still get paid for it.

And just think the only thing between them and death... is a face diaper.

Students stay home and teachers stay home without pay…to flatten the curve

It’s not working so great in Israel.
But about half of adults infected in the outbreak were considered fully-vaccinated — meaning that it had been at least two weeks since they received their final dose of the Pfizer shot, he said.
Balicer added that the so-called breakthrough cases were expected because though Pfizer is highly effective against the virus, it’s not 100 percent protective.

If only they cared about us this much for bird flu or swine flu. didn't hear about any mask mandates for that.

They’re angling to stay home again
What a worthless group of individuals

First day of school is mid-August. Very likely the case count being used (not deaths mind you) to push for this will drop by then. He'd be smart to hold.
