Probably will be better than 2016.
...but I still don’t like the pivot to Stranger Things-esque tone rather the comedy about schlubby guys attempting to start their own business while dodging government red tape.
(Edit: The pivot to a tone that studio execs think contemporary audiences would find appealing is what ruined the Kelvin Timeline Trek. It results in a movie that betrays the original audience and the new audience will find it too derivative of the contemporary inspiration. So, the cynic in me thinks that if Afterlife pivots too hard towards the Stranger Thing tone, it will alienate both sides of the spectrum.)

Looks like what a lot of the fans want for franchises like this.
"I don't want you to recreate what you think it was. I want you to take the original as seriously as I did when I was a kid."

I loved the Stay Puft Marshmallow Men coming to life on the shelves.
Also, was that Gozer's dog(s) chasing Paul Rudd out of Wal-Mart?

I am super pumped for this. You bet your arse I will take my daughter to see this in the theater just like how I got to see Ghostbusters in theater.

Can
Not
Wait
I rewatched the first trailer just for kicks and noticed the RC car looking trap was edited out in the first one, and the ghost trail thing that flies out of the mine was green in the first and orange in the second.

I’m a huge fan of the original Ghostbusters, but I’m not really digging this film.
