I wonder how he feels about making less than a gymnast?

This is just wrong in so many ways. The beginning of the end for college sports. Fun while it lasted

He’s gonna have a target on his head every game. The players who didn’t get any endorsement deals will be headhunters.

This will make college football better.

Your source is Saban saying this during a talk to TX high schools, right?

I personally think he's talking out of his arse during a recruiting opportunity, but these things should be verifiable.

I'm sure this won't impact any player motivation to get better or make the pros. Kids are known to be long-term thinkers. This makes great sense.

There's no way Saban is psyched about his QB1 being a millionaire.

You don’t get deals like that and expect not to put in the time. See how he and others juggle school, making money and football. Especially a freshman who hasn’t even seen his workload yet

I don't know about better but college football will survive. The NCAA might not but that has little to do with sponsor money.

“The beginning of the end”? That’s like saying Hitler’s suicide was the beginning of the end for the Nazis. The beginning of the end was a long time ago. Do you remember Wade recorded saying “Damn strong offer”? Do you remember Billy Canon’s recruitment? College football died decades ago.

I couldn’t imagine having that kind of money while in college. No way I would have graduated

Don’t be dumb. This isn’t going to “end” the sport, but it certainly doesn’t make it better.

It's always been about who has the most money to buy players on the P5 level. Nobody spends more than Bama. LSU spends with the best of them and is second tier to the Gumps.

This is simply another way for Bama to funnel money to the players.
