5. 2013 Ole Miss - No way LSU should have lost that game, but they did nonetheless

This one gets lost, but it was one of the most disappointing performances by a good LSU team in the past 20 years. Ole Miss was missing six defensive starters. That one, Arkansas 2007, 21-0, and Gainesville 2012 (14-6 loss) are the worst I've seen good LSU teams play.

The Capital One Bowl in Orlando against Penn State. Cold, rainy, and sloppy field. Pat Pete got beat on a double move and he couldn't recover due to field conditions. Knew it was going to be a rough one

2000 UAB

You know…..the game where 1000 drunk future ranters called in to the after show to say that Saban was worthless and the wrong hire.

LSU v Ark 2007

This one devastated me. I stayed at school and missed Thanksgiving with the family for the first time ever and I thought for sure that McFadden and co. ruined our shot at the Natty...thank goodness for Pitt beating WVU and all the other dominoes that fell our way that year!

2015 Arkansas was a pretty under-the-radar, unremarkable, shitty game

Troy 2017
Arkansas 2015
Florida 2016
McNeese 2015
Bama 2018

ETA: I should also throw in 2008 Ole Miss and 2017 Syracuse.

2008, 2012, and 2014 Bama were the three most upsetting finishes I’ve seen in person but the games at least were fun and entertaining.

LSU’s undefeated when I’m in attendance. It was almost 2008 Troy though

Edit: LSU has lost one game. It was against Buddy Hield and Oklahoma in the PMAC

How can Jamie Howard & Dinardo’s 4th qtr implosion against Auburn not be on the list? That was an epic collapse.

Ole Miss 2012 in Oxford was rough.
FLorida 2016 game made me sick for several reasons. Danny Etling getting stood up at the goal line, Donte Jackson getting burned for like a 90 yarder, the goal line stand to end it.

1986 loss to Miami of Ohio

1988 loss to Miami of Florida in driving rainstorm

1959 Sugar Bowl loss to Ole Miss

1963 loss to Ole Miss (lineman, Stan Hindman, chases Joe Labruzzo from behind to save touchdown)

1966 loss to Rice in Houston

ETA: For my bonus pick, I'll add the 1982 loss to Tulane in TS, although that game did have some redeeming qualities because of the post game brawl.

ETA (2): I stand corrected. The brawl was at the conclusion of the 1984 game. I was at both games, and those things kind of fade in my memory.

LSU vs. Tennessee 2005
LSU vs. Georgia 2005
LSU vs. Arkansas 2007
LSU vs. Florida 2009

I never realized this before but I think these are the only 4 loses I've ever attended in person. So my 5th will be the following due to excessive heat:

LSU vs. Miss State 2004

2007 UK triple OT loss in Lexington. Thought we would win that game without much effort and apparently the team did as well.

Have sat through blazing heat and bright sunshine.
Have sat through freezing cold rain and wind.
Have sat through boring LSU blow outs.
Ave sat through depressing LSU getting blown out.

But my top 5 worst games that I sat through:
1973 Tulane Stadium 14-0 loss breaking LSU’s 24 year undefeated streak
1981 Tulane in Superdome 48-7 loss capping off a 3-7-1 year
1982 Tulane in fricken Tiger Stadium 31-28 loss and two in a row
2000 UAB 13-10 loss to fricken UAB
2017 Troy 24-21 loss to fricken Troy
There were others, but this is my absolute worse 5 that I saw in person. And I stayed until the end of all.

They weren't that high, but they were top 10.

That game was such a bummer because LSU had such high hopes going in (3rd year with Fournette/Harris/Dupre/etc) but was so flat in the game, and Wisconsin was unranked at the time. Plus the impact of losing the opener and feeling like the season is already lost, which pretty much never happens to LSU

The Lambeau experience was awesome though.

1/9/12 I actually did not see in person so I disqualify my post. But, this is a great opportunity to reflect on when I die, it will be no less than 4-weeks earlier than I otherwise should have died, simply because of 1/9/12.

2002 Bama was my worst in person. Turned on Evan Williams at half, when it was 0-14 and did not look back.
