Would you fly Frontier?

Going to Vegas for a birthday party in late September. There is a UFC flight and the Raiders are at home.
AA and SW are both ridiculous. 500-700 round trip
Frontier has a sale where it’s $120 round trip and the times are better than the others. I know it’s a shitty airline but what’s the catch?
For that big of a difference would you suck it up for a weekend trip?

Spirit
Frontier
All the same.... If people understand that everything cost and your best bet is just a book sack then you are fine. Seats are smaller, less legroom, but perfectly fine for a short flight. Spirit use to offer a $50 RT to Dallas that I would make 3-5 times a year back in the day.
Even the big airline companies offer these cheap options with less legroom, no carry on, etc...

Might as well purchase the roomier seat too since the opportunity cost is the $500 trip on another airline.

Yeah with Spirit if you move to the exit aisle for more room it is like $30 more, which if I'm already paying less I might consider.

That’s what I’m thinking. Dfw to Vegas so it’s 2:15 minute flight.
Wife and I will be there 48 hours and will have a carry on and her purse. I don’t see the benefit in dropping $700 on SW

Just a heads up, carry on bags aren't free. In fact, it's more expensive than checking the bag.

Doesn't Frontier offer a package where you get a seat assignment, checked bag, and maybe a snack or meal for a set price that's cheaper than if you bought them separate?
I know Spirit does that.
EDIT- Yep, they do. The bundle includes a personal item, a carry on, a checked bag, seat assignment and priority boarding. No food option.

If it is two and they upgraded seats + 1 carry on bag they're probably looking at $50 for the bag and 35 each for the seat. So add 120-125 more to the cost of the ticket.

Yes that’s fine. Even if it’s an extra $100 per person it’s $220 round trip.

I flew frontier a few weeks ago msy to mco and thought it was fine.

Of course. As long as the plane gets me there and doesn't crash, I don't care how crappy it is.

IMO, Frontier is not a shitty airline. You’re just getting what you pay for. It’s not trying to be Delta just like Longhorn isn’t trying to be Ruth’s Chris - and the prices reflect that.
As a solo traveler who can put all his shite in a backpack, it’s great.

Yes. It’s not THAT bad. Well worth the savings IMO

Yes, I would. But sometimes I just let Frontier's prices dictate where we're going, if we don't have a particular destination in mind. Spent the President's Day weekend in the Keys (I think it was $79/pp RT Raleigh to Miami). Spent Spring Break in Colorado (I definitely remember it was $49/pp RT Charlotte to Denver).

All of the airlines are shitty there isn’t much difference.

If you find a good deal, you should probably take it.
