Told y’all. Got this from a friend today
Dear Athletics Community,
After 39 years of service, this Friday marks Bo Bahnsen’s last day at LSU before he joins his wife, Karen, in retirement. Bo has worked at every level of LSU Athletics: he washed uniforms as a student manager, created forms to facilitate operation of our department, organized and facilitated travel/activities for football bowl trips, and led us through numerous changes in collegiate athletics from his role in compliance. I am grateful to Bo and the impact he has had on LSU Athletics.
It should surprise no one that knows Bo that he has meticulously documented his career at LSU on a spreadsheet. It is truly fascinating to see the timeline of LSU history that he has witnessed and I wanted to share some of the high points with you all. He first arrived at LSU as a transfer student in 1979 and began working as a manager for the basketball team. After graduating, he spent time doing administrative work for men’s basketball, supervising equipment and travel, then shifted to the athletic director’s office where he was the administrative assistant to LSU Athletics Director Joe Dean. It was after this stop that Bo began his journey in Compliance from 1989 to 2003. From there, he went on to serve as the Associate Athletics Director for Internal Relations, overseeing the ticket office and all customer service operations before returning to Compliance in his Senior Administrative role in 2008. In his years of service to LSU, he has made an impact across the department that will not be forgotten.
I invite you to stop by the conference room on the 6th floor of the Athletics Administration Building on Friday between 9:00-11:00am to visit with Bo over donuts and coffee and congratulate him on an outstanding career at LSU!
Bo, we will miss interacting with you day-to-day but we wish you and Karen all the best in retirement! Thank you for everything you have done for LSU Athletics!

So his last order of business was to suspend the football teams starting LT two months before a potential NY6 season? Awesome.

I nominate Saahdiq Charles for his replacement.

Y’all act like this man the sole reason for LSU’s War on Drugs. I worked at LSU for a few years. Those people do nothing without some god awful committee.

No wonder he hated our athletes

He may have not known it was going to be his last order of business...how long has this "retirement" been planned?

Unfortunately, very true in a negative way.

So Bahnsen has been in Compliance for 27 out of the last 32 years, with the 5 year interruption being roughly the same time Saban was coaching here
Sure, that's not a coincidence at all
