Imagine phoning in this claim to your insurance company (tho I’d have expected the roof to hold up better).

I know in foreign countries the US is quick to hand out some cash in incidents like this. Does the same hold true in the US?

This looks like the photo someone on the OT posted a few months ago of a guy that had been working in his attic had fallen through the ceiling. Just a guy laying there, surrounded by blown-in insulation and drywall particles.

State Farm adjuster only found cosmetic and pre-existing damage to the roof

Claim comes in under deductible

I am glad, and surprised he is okay. I hope he doesn't have life long pain from this.

Just that a UK paratrooper was deployed over US territory?

Seems legit.

Very routine actually. Foreign troops train in the US constantly. There are dozens of countries with units and training arms stationed here on a permanent or regular basis.

There is no conspiracy here.

If a foreign soldier lands in your living room and holding a military rifle and you shoot him, then what?

The US military does plenty of joint training exercises with other militaries around the world. I’d imagine the British military are the most common ones the US does them with. Is this actually news to you that countries frequently do joint training military exercises?

Fun fact: a Canadian officer was deputy commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps from 2012-2014.

DC-O, and it's a specific Canadian billet. In 2011, when we deployed to Iraq, he had to stay in Kuwait the whole time.
