Im none of them really.
But ill say Ledger simply because i often think about the stuff we missed out on. I think about what the 3rd Dark Knight trilogy movie could have been...

Dolores O'riordan. The Cranberries were a huge part of my formative years.

It's always musicians dying that bums me out for awhile. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dimebag Darrell, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington. Janie Lane from Warrant. Neil Peart was probably the one that bothered me the most.

Prince and George Michael, on the music side. As someone said earlier, the What Ifs of what they could've accomplished will drive you crazy.
Heath Ledger is an outstanding example, for movies. He was gone before we had an opportunity to appreciate what he gave us in The Dark Knight.

I was around 8 at the time, but I'd have to go with John Wayne.

Tom Petty for me...grew up with his music.

Robin Williams or Phil Hartman - too close to call.
Robin Williams of greater overall stature (but he was older, so that softens it some).
Phil Hartman was my favorite actor on my favorite show that was airing at the time he was killed and I had been a huge fan of his work on SNL.
The only thing close to those 2 was Elvis, but I was pretty young at the time, and Chris Cornell more recently.

I do t get too much from it. I get much less upset when they are old and die a normal old person death.
The suicides are sad but also make me angry because of what it does to their families.
Kobe was one for me that had me feeling pretty sad for a couple days

John Candy
Phil Hartman
Chris Farley
I was angriest at the loss of Hartman because he was taken from us by a crazy wife. Goddam!
I was saddened by John Candy’s death because he just seemed like one of the most likable people on the planet. He never failed to make me feel good with every character he played.
Same with Chris Farley, but he was more tragic in how tortured he seemed by his own self-image and his self-destruction.
Robin Williams was also shocking and upsetting and is right behind those others I mentioned. I think I saw that one coming for years. He had a good long run, but his mental illness finally got the better of him. I miss him in this world.
