I just figured out that Ned Schneebly (School of Rock) is the director, writer, producer, and creator.
Not many things make me laugh out loud but this show does it. That dude may be like Mike Judge in that regard, just wired right into my funny bone.
He also did Enlightened which I thought was similarly good and funny. Also HBO I believe.
Steve Zahn is killing it.
Lots of talk about Daddario and the other hottie but don't sleep on Connie Britton. Would smash.

im not sure rachel is a sympathetic character, she's just hot. within months of meeting she married a super rich douche. they can't have spent much time together, I don't think he knew what she did for work before the honey moon. they have almost nothing to talk about, she only gossips about the other family there, or gets in arguments about work and do you love me/is it just sex.
she's discussed that her prenup is layered with timeframes and such within moments of meeting nicole.
quinn and the massage lady might be the only truly sympathetic characters. I mean hell they wouldn't even let quinn get a hit of weed lol.

I’m convinced the death is the dad. It seems way too obvious to be newlywed wife. The dad said quite a few things in earlier episodes that kinda sounded like little hints.

I watched every episode last night based on this thread.
Show is great. I was laughing at every episode.
Armond is hilarious. The sister and her friend are awful. Steve Zahn is killing it as usual.
Excited to see where the last two episodes go. I'm leaning towards Steve Zahn being the one that dies.

I agree about Connie Britton but this show is not doing her justice. All she has worn are these mumu dresses.
I can’t remember….did they specify at the beginning of the first episode that it was a resort guest that died? If not, I’m thinking it could be Armand who overdoses and dies. I think they said “we heard someone was killed”, but maybe he simply OD’d and is the one being loaded onto the plane to be shipped off to Australia or wherever the hell he is from

I think it would be hilarious if Paula comes from an equally loaded family. Other than Olivia being super controlling, there really isn’t difference between the two. They both spew the same limo liberal nonsense, one just happens to not be white

Watched this week’s episode just now. It feels like nothing happened and a ton happened all at the same time. 
I agree that Paula is in no way sympathetic. She is awful just like Olivia is. And like people said, they’re supposed to be. So I get it.
I don’t get the Quinn thing with the rowers. That seems out of nowhere.
Also don’t get why on the last page people seem to think Zahn and Armand messed around. It never got that far and in IMO they would’ve definitely shown us that onscreen if it happened. I think the talk in bed had to do with his cheating before, just like he told Quinn. And holy shite, how out of touch are his kids? Quinn blurting that shite out at dinner was cringeworthy.
Love how Armand keeps playing the girls with the drugs. He’s by far the best character on the show. I was surprised to see him score with the young dude though. Very interested to see how that plays out next episode with Plop and Belinda both seeing it.
Love the whole angle with Plop and Daddario and his mother. That is so awkward and great. And I generally don’t like Molly Shannon, but she’s good so far.
I can do completely without Stifler’s mom and her whole story. I know some people love her and think she’s hilarious, but I disagree completely and think she’s terrible.
This show is so odd and weird and awkward and I love it.

I think it's just showing him coming out of his shell and reaching out to people. Without his electronics, he's starting to see the beauty of what's around him and potentially developing some new interests.

Agreed, I just don't care about her storyline. I enjoyed the boat scene the last episode, but other than that, her scenes are always the weakest.
