I see it on social media constantly. Moms seek attention by sharing long sappy posts about all the things moms have to do and how overworked and overwhelmed they always are. They remind all the husbands out there about how lucky they are to have them, and they list all the things that their husbands should be doing for them.

I hardly ever see dad/men appreciation posts even though most husbands work very hard to provide for their families. If men came out and made these kinds of posts, the women would sabotage the posts by redirecting the attention to themselves.

It just seems pretty prideful and self-centered on the women’s part. Ok rant over

Three things I really don’t see on my Facebook that people here complain about all the time:

1) the OP’s complaint
2) teachers complaining about how difficult they have it
3) nurses boasting of their heroism

During the pandemic, when we were not allowed to leave home, except for emergencies, men and women all across this country showed up to re-stock grocery shelves, so that we, and lying Fauci would not starve. Without them, it would have been chaos, and food riots.

Did these moms write long diatribes praising those that get the groceries to the stores, and then on the shelves?

Mother's Day, out of all the other made-up days of celebration, can stay. The rest can all go away.

I raised two kids while taking care of a severely ill spouse for nearly ten years. I was mom, dad, grandpa, grandma and everything else.

The only “praise” I ever wanted was what I got from my sons. You don’t ask for that. You either get it or you don’t. When you get that — and I do — sometimes you cry like you’re watching Old Yeller. It was all worth it.

But I could GAF what anyone on Facebook thinks.

This, and I worked in hospitals for nearly 20 years, so I have a ton of friends who are nurses. I wouldn't say I've never seen it but it's super rare.

Goes back to another thread about a different topic but where I said the same thing, people that complain are 100% seeking the shite out. You, me a frick ton of others have found ways to never/rarely see shite like this, but the bros who like to complain can't seem to figure out how to simply avoid this, which is very easy to do .

Oh I can verify this showing up all the time - it's absolutely annoying when there's a tax referendum or getting close to the end of summer vacation.

So get off of social media. Or take a break for a while.

How old are you that you couldn’t figure this out for yourself?

Or is it that you just needed attention from random people, you’ve never met, on a message board?
