Simpler the better. No smart fridge, cameras, etc. Avoid Samsung.

Thermador as previously noted. I also have a flli bertazzoni and a summit outside. All of them are badass.

OP says

tOT says Thermador.

I guess I should just say we have had great success with our Sub-Zeros they are 22 years old now with zero issues.

2K and under, consider Whirlpool. I’ve never had issues with Whirlpool products. I’m in the process of buying a side by side now, it will be a KitchenAid to match a KitchenAid dishwasher, but KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool.

I had an Electrolux and it was a piece of shite.

I now have a GE Profile no issues yet and it’s 3-4 yrs old

I’ve replaced all three “computer panels” on my Whirlpool. Mom had similar issues with same product, different model.

I don’t think any appliance, including Whirlpool, is made as good as units in years past and I don’t anticipate it getting any better - it’s really a shame - and it does seem failed circuit boards are a common issue. My current Whirlpool side by side is 16 years old and never been worked on. I know the new unit i purchase will not be as problem free.

But it does seem to a common theme on this board to definitely avoid LG, Samsung, and Electrolux - and just roll the dice on the the other name brands. The fewer the features, most likely the fewer the problems.

Open the door. If it says "made. In Korea" avoid it.
