Except that Alleva is not on the other side. Woody is unlikely to be taken for a ride.

ugh, if you don't think the simple fact that LSU has an open job and Tony will talk to Woodward isn't leverage then I don't know what to tell you.

It gives him leverage, yes. But it's not the only reason.

If Vitello's agent hasn't reached out to express interest in the LSU job then he should be fired on the spot. Vitello is in the midst of his career year at the same time one of the most lucrative jobs in his profession becomes available. If I'm Vitello's agent I'm doing EVERYTHING possible to get LSU to offer my client a huge contract...even if Vitello has no interest whatsoever in leaving Tennessee

His agent is Jimmy Sexton. You know he’s working all angles.

Sexton isn’t stupid. It’s in the best interest of his client to listen to the biggest job opening of the year that’s going to reset the market. That being said, Tony will listen and be open to LSUs pitch. He may not be able to say no. That’s the plan.

Apparently.

It's the why that I don't understand. We need our own agency to represent us, since we're obviously in such high demand

I didnt notice TD getting any credit for breaking the oconnor news yesterday. Yet almost every show broke it hours after TD

The difference in being used for leverage now vs Alleva’

1. We have an AD that’s willing to negotiate and will make the big offer instead of throwing a big hissy fit
2. If it’s pure leverage and there’s no interest in coming, I’m confident he has his next row of candidates identified instead of fear pissing himself once candidate A says no

This happens regularly on the OT as well. Hell, we were all listening to the live police radio during the Boston Marathon Bomber persuit. Someone found a link to the live scanners and we knew what was going on long before the media was reporting it.

Well, they probably heard the same stuff about that, but they were probably too busy covering for their Bianco whiff.

And you know they won't give credit to a message board, when they do get something from here. That's what I was saying earlier: They always seem to mention us, but they never admit that they get their ideas for talking points, or even information, from us. They act like it's totally original.

Alleva getting mad at herman for leveraging was such a junior high move. Think that was when i truly realized how inadequate he was

His agent is Jimmy Sexton. You can bet he's going to either put him position to get the LSU job or get a fat raise at Tennessee. Vitello is in good hands

There may not be real insider information shared here but when important sports news breaks, TD is always first on the scene.

To have been a lurker for a decade and still wonder why this site is so well known, you sure seemed to have missed a lot of news items broken here—and not just sports related.
