DAT 6/21: YFPHA (Odorizzi) @ BAL (Akin) | 7:05 CT (weather delays start time)

Your First-Place Houston Astros are a thing again after a 4-game sweep of the White Sox, a 6-0 homestand and a season-high, 7-game winning streak. The Astros are 3 percentage points ahead of Oakland (and 1 game up in the loss column) for the top spot in the American League West and the best record in the AL.
Now Houston hits the road for a 7-game trip with a stingy starting rotation and a red-hot offense. First stop is Baltimore, where awaiting the Astros is a hitters haven and one of the worst franchises in baseball. The Orioles, well on their way to a fifth consecutive losing season, have the worst record (23-48) in the American League, though the Astros have been on the receiving end of sweeps against the lowly Tigers (last in the AL Central), Rangers (last in the AL West) and Rockies (third-worst record in the NL).
Time to turn this trend around tonight as the 6-man Astros rotation falls on Jake Odorizzi's number. Odorizzi (1-3, 5.68 ERA, 1.18 WHIP) was brilliant in a quasi-piggyback relief role last Tuesday against the Rangers, spinning 4 shutout innings and allowing just 2 hits while striking out 3. Keegan Akin (0-2, 5.76, 1.45) takes the hill for the Orioles, who have lost 10 of 11.

Sage words.

I can use this in a sentence...
"The Orioles throwing this guy against the red-hot Astros is akin to sending the lambs to the slaughter"

Dusty Baker. The wisdom just oozes from him.

I’ll have to admit the Astros are playing very well right now…

They need to set the tone here in BAL after dominating both colored sox recently, that they are no longer losing to trash teams going forward. Message to the A's.
ETA: Any word if Tucker has been reactivated?

EDIT: He’s still in health protocol. They’re hoping to having him back for this series. Haven’t seen anything this morning but news usually trickles out in the afternoon before a night game.

I'm expecting a letdown shortly
We have continued to play to the level of our competition
Maybe they have turned a corner, but me thinks old habits are hard to break

Won't take long to find out. We'll have a good idea after tonight.
