I’ll add backpackers to the list. It wasn’t always this way as hike your own hike was once the motto for all backpackers, but in recent years, there’s been a growing trend of shaming people that don’t have the right gear or aren’t hiking the way they’re “supposed” to.

There's definitely a reverse pretentiousness that has developed around drinking low-brow brands like Miller Lite and Folgers. Kind of cracks me up, TBH. As if there's anything wrong with appreciating quality beer, wine, or coffee.

I completely agree with you but would like to chime in and say that McDonalds coffee is pretty darn good for $1.
