Sorry dude. We gave you a pretty hard time on that one, but I know you understand considering the magnitude of the player.

I say we beat Denver without him, we know what Minn. can do, and then hopefully he'll be back for the game at Carolina. I agree with Alejandro, we'll be ok.

Not a good thing but I think Patten and Shockey will benefit the most. In fact I think teams will really focus more on Shockey now and leave holes for Patten. Devery will still get is couple long balls per game but don't see him being the man going across the middle.

this is a huge deal

we are going to throw out a bunch of midget WR's...thats never good.

hopefully we can split the games he is out

Thats a pretty bleak outlook LEs.

Brees has an uncanny way of making WRs look better. I think we will be ok. shite, Colston was almost a non factor last week. I think Shockey can make up for it. And Henderson, Meachem, Patten...etc will be ok.

and we had 1 DB jump for a ball to early that allowed Patten to catch it

and one fall down that let Henderson catch that pass.

Bush had 8 catches and Shockey 6

the next highest was 3 by Colston. Moore was the only other WR to catch more than 1 pass.

His prescence will be missed because they can now focus on our mediocre WRs

This is definitely not good, but I tend to side with nobes on this one. The saints have plenty of weapons, and Brees and this offense is tailored made for the posssesion type receivers of Patton, Moore, Schockey, Copper. Plus you still have the big play threat of Bush, Devery and hopefully Meachem. I think we'll be ok.

yeah, i think Colston not drawing double teams will make it alot tougher for our other WR's

While I am not happy about this ( I have Colston in both of my fantasy leagues to make matters worse) the sky is firmly intact for now.

I dont think losing Colston will make us split if we have Wash, 49ers, Minny, and Denver coming up.

At least I dont think it increases the chance of that significantly...hell this is the NFL geared toward all teams being 8-8.

Come on, losing Colston is not THAT big of a deal.

What planet do you live on? Colston is a top 10 to top 5 WR in the entire league. To lose a guy like that significantly affects your team there is no way around it. In my opinion Colston created opportunities for Patten and especially for Devery who only know one route - the fly.

EXACTA-FREAKING-MONDO

Losing Colston on the field isn't just affecting him catching the ball. It affects everyone.

Per a league source, the Washington Redskins were “doing handstands and somersaults” in response to the news that Saints receiver Marques Colston will miss Sunday’s game between the two teams.

As we hear it, the Redskins think that having Colston out of play will make it much easier to control tight end Jeremy Shockey and running back Reggie Bush.

We’re also told that the four-to-six-week estimate on Colston’s thumb injury is a bit optimistic, and that he’ll be out closer to six weeks.
