Pearson can flat out hit, he knows “how” to hit most importantly, plus he’s great all around. Will there be an adjustment period? Sure…..but he will without question be one of the 3 top outfielders. He’s clearly the 2nd best already imo if Dugas leaves, he’s that special. His older brother always had one foot in the draft during the process, but from all accounts Josh really wants the LSU experience…..but of course there is a “number” if that’s what you’re wondering.

Better pencil Jobert in that lineup somewhere. He will be swinging it

Helps that his brother has not panned out in the minor leagues

I’m counting on Joubert for DH or 1B. Morgan would
Move to centerfield if the latter happens.

I’ve watched him since he was in coach pitch. Kid is special. Will that transfer to the SEC? Idk, but I guarantee he’ll have more than 7 RBIs if he starts the entire season

Is he better than big brother? Also, my younger brother played with his dad and his dad was one heck of player too. Man I am old!

If you think Gio makes an outfield stacked you are kidding yourself!

Would be foolish to sleep on him. He had a nagging injury all season. He’s shown some flashes of excellence. Just needs to stay healthy. At least that’s how I see it

He can hit. Arm and size is what will prevent him from being a high draft pick. There was some talk about him possibly playing second base at LSU.

The last thing you can say about our outfield is stacked. Dugas showed some power, but on several of our good teams he would be DH at best because we had guys that hit for higher average and were better outfielders.

I like Dugas allot and if he improves in the outfield and hits for a better average, then he would be tough for a newcomer to beat out.

Gio is a good defensive outfielder, but has little power and can't hit against lefthanders.

Jobert can play 1B, 3B, and corner OF.

Josh isn't tiny. Jacob was about 6', 200. Josh is not far off from that. Agree that 2B is an option for him.

Great, now ell is going to scanning every roster since the early 90s and knocking people off the list that aren’t at least 5’9” to try to figure out who you are.

Exactly. Some don't really care what the internet and rosters read. They just let it ride. Those are usually the good ones. Some embellish.

If he came to LSU he would be a senior this year. He’s 22 and in AA in Jackson. Little early to write him off.

I think Josh makes it to LSU. Skipping a year in HS and losing a year to Covid will make a difference in the draft I think. Scouts really only got to see him 2 years in HS. Unless this Florida league shoots him up the board.

As far as who’s better, hard to say. They’re very different players. Jacob was faster, but hurt his shoulder playing football. Josh never got hurt. Josh is shorter, but has tree trunk legs. He’s not slow, running 6.6. Jacob just ran 6.45. Jacob had a ton of power, but would spray it to all fields. Josh mashes.

One story for you. Josh was really young, not sure of exact age and I don’t want to lie. It was coach pitch I believe. Anyway, they were playing on a 300 foot field and he asked his Dad how much he would give him for a homerun over the fence. Thinking he had no shot, he quickly told him $20. He hit 2 out the first game. That deal quickly ended.

The kid’s a natural in a family full of ball players. The baby is the biggest of them all. He’ll be a sophomore this year. Class of 2024.
