I'm a low-level manager. I mostly relay orders, with some input into hiring, firing, and compensation. But even so, I doubt anyone would have the balls to come to me and say, "the guys in China said that one of your employees requested reimbursement for a massage so we're firing him." There has to be more to the story than that, or you're talking about a seriously dysfunctional organization.

Worked at a company that was fairly large that had hired a comptroller straight out of college. Couple years in it was discovered he had embezzled about $250k, which he had blown all on escort services.
The kicker was he never spent a day in jail because his parents gave the company all the money he had stolen so little Johny didnt go to prison.
Long story short the horny little bastard was living it up with escorts left and right for a couple years.

It was right before I was hired at this place.. One security guard shot another security guard.. Can't remember if the guy was killed.. It was over a woman. The security guards at this place were freakin nuts anyway..
I had a company car that I should have turned in for the holidays. I held onto it one day because I had plans to meet friends out that night. The next morning I went out to take it to the depot and it had been stolen outside my house. My boss was pissed..

fricking the pizza dough at a pizza place I worked at in school. I wasn't on shift that day. Very odd dude. Only did dishes and toppings, I was a driver. I wonder how many pizzas he seasoned. Freaking sick. But then later I read Marlyn Mansons book and the guitarist Twiggy used to do the same thing.

About 20 years ago our office manager was caught ordering 500 lortabs and busted because someone else signed for package and opened it. I hated that bitch so when they took her out in cuffs, it was a glorious day.

We had a kid stealing electronic equipment. Each one had company ID on it. When he brought them to the pawn shop and laid his ID down, it never occurred to him that he was now connected to that transaction. A cop noticed the 25 or so transactions on laptops, etc. There are now aboot 25 warrants out on him from Tampa PD.
He ws from Ohio, had moved to Vegas, and been run out of Vegas, and had landed in FL. I think he bailed back to Ohio.

I was a plant manager at a chemical plant in Mobile and meeting with two operators (1 white/1 black), black chief operator, and white engineer. The chief lived out in the country and had 3 horses. I asked him “How were the horses?” He said he was slowly getting them broken in so he could ride them. The white operator said “I didn’t know black people rode horses.” The chief just laughed it off at the time and said “yes we do.” The engineer and I left, but the conversation apparently continued. It ended when the white operator said “Well, you have exploded one myth for me today, how about another? Is it true that ni$@*#rs have big d#$ks?” The chief said “What did you say?” The white operator realized what he said and went to another room. I’m surprised the chief or the black operator didn’t punch him out. They told me later and we wrote the white operator up, but didn’t fire him.

Had detectives show up at a former place of work to question one of the employees. Detectives left, employee left right after. He was later arrested for possession and distribution of child porn.
Turns out, while the detectives were at the office, a couple of other ones were in his apartment with a warrant. They found what they needed, and apparently waited until he tried to destroy the evidence to bust him.

All of these at the same place in NOLA in the 90s and very early 2000s:
Indian IT guy was living in his cubicle. There was a gym that had company memberships connected to the building and I suspect he showered there.
An Indian couple worked on different IT teams, and the husband was busted for double dipping. His wife knew nothing about IT, and they had made a fake resume for her and he coached her up enough to get through the interview. After that he worked both their jobs. I think she was busted because she couldn’t talk the talk regularly.
A mid-level manager in a legal group was running a porn server inside of the company domain.

Had a guy that would eat out of the garbage can.
Was very cautious at first then got to be where he didn’t care if anyone saw.
He was set up many times and sure enough would take food out to eat.
Would stash food in his locker in the change room.
Boss said he didn’t know how to approach him about it without embarrassing him.

Nothing an employee got caught doing but my contribution to this thread. I was starting a new job and had a female boss probably late 30's fairly attractive. Three months into job i see her walking out of her office fairly distraught. I ask if she's ok? she tells me she has to head home for an urgent matter. I'm like ok. I end up finding out she had got let go that day.
Fast forward about two weeks. I need a few pics off Company shared drive of some items i'm looking for. Worked at a manufactoring plant at the time. So i put search in for Jpg files. Well the first few pics come back with pics of My ex bosses kids and vacation pics. Then all of a sudden breast pics begin to appear along with these vacation pics. Found out later she had had a boob job a year earlier. I.T. had dropped all the contents of her laptop onto shared drive. Let me say this the Dr. had did a really good job. I never saved the pics and word got out a day later and then they were gone. Had i saved a few pics i could have Sold them to a few guys that came asking a few days later

The only crazy aspect of what this guy did was how stupid it was. He worked for our truck engine division in the parts department. What he would do is whenever a customer bought parts using a credit card, he’d go back and cut a bogus credit on the inventory system as though the customer returned the part. He would then apply that credit to his debit card. How he thought this was a good idea is beyond me.
