I mean that’s a Clark Kent level disguise
it’s a straight up rom com with a setting that’s in sports. Movie hasn’t aged well, you can feel the 90s block buster cheese coming through the screen, but it had a massive long term hold on pop culture in a lot of ways, and made guys like Drew Rosenhouse famous. I find that part of it interesting.

Yeah nobody really gives a shite about Renee's feelings.
The movie is about Jerry and his happiness.
Shite, Renee is even a surrogate for the bond between Jerry and the boy.
Its not a chick flick until the sloppy haphazard ending.
Its about dudes...in a weird chick flick way. Which makes the movie kinda in no man's land.
Jerry spends 80% of the movie with Rod being an agent...bromancer. And doesn't even really seem to like his wife. Its...sort of...well you know...
