That pup will be on senior dog food by the time that happens.

Sometimes I wish my dogs were deaf.
They'll bark at everything.

We already have a deaf, and for all practical purposes, a blind dog.
She's an older Pomeranian.
However, she's just about like every other dog we have.
I wouldn't let a dog's hearing ability deter anyone from adopting.

We had a deaf catahoula (junior)
Great dog. Unfortunately, we had to put him down when he was around 8 because he started to lose his vision and was easily startled. Not good for a 90lb dog when you have small kids.
Let me know if no one bites, I’d have to convince the mrs

Wish I could because my catahoula is an awesome dog.

He's got vision problems but not enough to affect anything. He either has a blind spot dead in front of him or he has blurry vision, but it hasn't slowed him down. He does bump into a lot of stuff when his head is down sniffing.

One of our dogs is mostly deaf. She can only hear extremely high pitched sounds.

She's awesome.

Try Friends Of The Animals (FOTA) in Baton Rouge. They help a lot of dogs out

I am not in BR area. But always up for a road trip. Have a decent sized farm that I believe would make that pup quiet happy. I also crate train. If you have no other options or something else doesnt work out, let me know.

We had a deaf great dane for 10 years. We forgot he was deaf after about a week. He becamse remarkably good at sensing vibration and air pressure changes. When anyone went up or down the stairs, he look. When an exterior door was open, he knew. It took him a few months to do it, but you would not know he was deaf unless I told you. We talked to him and called him by his name as if he could hear. I just rescued a 5 month old GDS Saturday so this pup is not for me, but if someone wants him, don't let his being deaf stop you.

And yes, my dane barked just like my other dogs. A very normal, deep bark.

I’m probably gonna get divorced over it, but frick it.

I’m in WBR too and will be in the same boat when my husband sees I brought her home, even though I swear I’m not trying to keep her:)

Like I said, if al else fails, holla. I’ve got four dogs outside already so one more joining the pack ain’t gonna matter. (Don’t worry, they all sleep inside in the AC )
