UPDATE: ADOPTED Beautiful Catahoula Cur Puppy Needs Rescuing

So long story short, I tried to foster this beautiful, blue eyed girl. We have 3 inside dogs already, including a catahoula mix that is hands down the sweetest dog we’ve ever owned. This girl is full blooded with blue eyes, but she’s deaf. Y’all, this baby is gorgeous and deaf dogs are still vibrant and amazing. I had a deaf dog as a child and she wasn’t deficient in any other way. She learned commands by sign and was still trained. If this girl goes to the pound I am certain she will end up euthanized with her head in the vet school refrigerator for practice. Please, if you know anyone in the BR/WBR area that could give this girl a home, I am desperate!!

I rescued a deaf Cavalier two years ago. He learned hand signals within 2 weeks. We NEVER had a problem communicating.

Yes!! She went deaf at a couple of months old apparently - I’m going to get her tomorrow while my husband is at work, and continue trying to find her a home.

I have a Deaf dog and she's awesome. They tend to be called velcro dogs because they always want to touch you. I guess it's so they know where you are at all times.
