It’s not his fault he had to be thrust into that spot.
That being said he played admirably most of the year. And with a full offseason under his belt will be damn good. He has everything you look for in a SS

SS,2B,3B all made the easy plays look hard all year. Tre Morgan easily the team MVP for his covering up of all the terrible throws

Thank you!!! For seeing something that obvious! I couldn’t even understand when they signed him, why they signed him. Saw him play like 30 games through his high school career, and every time I saw him play I was scratching my head as to “wtf” Cain saw in this kid. I mean decent player but I felt in no way was he an SEC caliber SS. He actually played 3base better then SS but he made a lot of errors. And his high school the fences are so damn short that they have the kids use wood bats during bp so they don’t lose too many balls.

I feel like he played a lot better in the regular season than he did in the post. He definitely got the yips post season.

Most people who are shitting on him have watched him for the last two weekends where he didn't play great.
Those people are also discounting the fact that the last two weekends have been played on bullshite turf fields, not dirt where he's practiced all year.

We've seen the flashes of what he can be. Another offseason of reps and he will be fine.

I bet anything that the new LSU coach puts Morgan in CF next year and someone else (not on the team at this moment) is the new 1st baseman. I'd bet it's Brayden Jobert.
