I think Morgan can play in the outfield, but he is a good defensive first baseman. It is his first year and he played at a high level. He will get better and some of the freshman mistakes will be eliminated.

The field turf isn’t the reason he couldn’t make a throw to 1st. It seemed like the bigger the stage got the worst he played. I’ll chalk it up to him being a freshman but the entire infield struggled making throws to 1st this year. Hopefully this is something they’ll address in the off-season. I would like for most of our players to play in the summer leagues to work on things.

I really think Thompson is going to be a damn good shortstop. He’s got a cannon and has shown range. I think he just got the yips in the last few weeks.

He can't even throw to first base and is truly unathletic at the plate.

Needs to spend less time worrying about his flowing mullet and eye black war paint and more time learning how to catch and throw the ball. You’re not going to war, you’re playing baseball. Ditch the Harry high school war paint bullshite.

I Remember another really good freshman SS who struggled in the postseason.
That said, Thompson will have to remain in his regular season form to keep Simon off short.

That's because PM suggested he play OF to enhance his draft prospects and potentially play some OF at LSU. Arnold is not an IF, hopefully more AB's and becomes DH full time next season. Cade showed the most improvement to me in the infield. They all need to work on mental aspects of the game.

He’s not a complete embarrassment but we definitely need an upgrade at that position
