If one has to crap at a WalMart, I'm assuming it's a Code Brown. This would mean there is no way to get to the back to utilize the less immigrant frequented facilities in the back. By that logic, you're the type of sick frick that actually PLANS to evacuate at Walmarks. Seek help.

Depends, I don't keep that much. I have one transaction debited every 6 months. I usually keep somewhere around $500.

Sure, if you're a poor money manager.
There are numerous benefits to using a credit card instead of a debit card, especially more than just as a "gas card"

Back up videos and voicemails of loved ones. If you don’t have any, be sure to take a video or two. Write down or record their stories, too, if you get a chance.

Personally, I refuse to carry more than 10k in credit on me at all times. One card. It's way too easy to slip into debt if you aren't careful. Hence why I penny pinch and save everything in savings monthly as my emergency windfall.
The index fund is an easy automatic 500 dollar payment monthly.
And I get paid well enough to stay above 1k in checking at all times. Again, ties into emergencies.
I'd rather be overly cautious than anything else since I had a massive debt problem when I was younger.

I use a credit card/line as a method of building credit, not as a bail out of jail method. That's what my savings is for.
That's my logic in treating credit cards as simple purchase cards. Gas, maybe groceries. Always paid off at the end of the month.

Maybe you shouldn't be giving silly money handling advice on the internet then

If you have on 10 cards or 1 you have access to the same amount of credit.

So do I if I wanted to, but it makes no sense

I think it's realistic advice for someone in debt or who has debt issues to rebuild credit lines and find secondary avenues to ensure they're financially secure is all.

I use a credit card for every purchase possible. I haven't paid a dollar in interest in near a decade...
